Hi all, I was just wondering what the conversion process from Imperial to Chaos meant for datasheets? I saw the paragraph on the linebreaker squadron but I'm still a bit confused.

Say I wanted to take a banehammer, http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2440063_Imperial_Guard_Datasheet_-_Banehammer.pdf would I use chaos upgrades (like daemonic posession) instead of more imperial ones like hunter killer missiles or just use it the way it is?

Does the same thing work with substituting models? Here's an example: I was thinking of taking http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1180158_Space_Marines_Datasheet_-_Sternhammer's_Wulfen_Guard.pdf but with Kharn and Bezerkers (or maybe some bloodletters) instead of the usually entries. Should I just use the rules provided but with chaos models instead or substitute in some chaosy goodness into the fray?

I'm just a tad bit confused but I'm sure I can work it out with my opponents.

I don't believe anyone here could say yes or no. I say talk it over with your group. APOC tends to have some sillier stuff. Now for the Superheavy, our group just uses them how they are for Chaos if they do not have a datasheet for it. I know in our last game we had a few superheavy tanks on the chaos side and they didn't have or use any fancy chaos rules.

I don't see a problem with applying Chaos upgrades to Imperial vehicles where appropriate.

But yes, the key would simply be to discuss it with the other guys when you're setting up the rules for the game.
