I have a SM scout squad, and there are 4 with bolters and a heavy bolter so who is the sergeant?

You can choose any model to be the sergeant. It's better to mark him out in some way though.

It's not the guy with the Heavy Bolter.
Otherwise, pick one and mark him as special somehow.

Pick one and slap a sword on his back.

The sergeants in my SM army have a different painted back pack/jump pack from the rest of the squad. I think my scout sergeants have different colored cloaks or shoulders if exposed.

I usually use an old baldy head from one of the other SM boxes to mark the sarge.
