I have to admit I didn't got the new codex because with all the bad things I keep hearing about it, it just makes me sick.. BUT one of the rumors I'd like to know about (not even sure if it's from this codex or old fluff) is that GK once their mission is over they just plain kill all the humans present and brainwash eventual SM presence into forgetting about them. It's that true ?

The SM thing isn't true but throughout their 'history' they kill any witnesses...
SM are probably left alive since some chapters do know about them (SW summoned them to Armageddon)-

I'm pretty sure other SMs know about the existence of Grey Knights, but yeah, they do have a record of killing human witnesses.

I would imagine only Inquisitors or high ranking Imperial Personnel would immediately know they difference between GKs & regular Space Marines.

Ok that leads to another question and some explanation. In the DW campaign we are playing the last session ended with the deployment of 3 units of GK termi and I'm wondering how much is known to other SM (we are rank 6, I'm an Ultramarines Captain) about this pratice. What whould happens if once their job is over and start flatlining the IGs and another SM try to stop them ? Has that ever happened in the fluff ?

When the GKs were introduced at the same time as Chaos Marines WAY BACK in the late 80s yes that was the fluff.

It was ignored for a long while since it makes it hard to tell some stories.

"Hey Ragnar remember the time we fought Chaos marines?"
"Huh?"
"Me neither."

But the new GK codex brought it back.

I'd say the best solution is that the GK sometimes mindwipe/kill witnesses but don't always have the time/resources to do it.

The Grey Knights recognise that Space Marines are too valuable to kill, so they enact a time consuming process to erase to recent memories of all Astartes they come across. Several Chapters, most notably the Silver Skulls and Exorsists, know of the Grey Knights existence, and actively tell them of potential recruits. There are also several Chapter Masters, such as Dante of the Blood Angels and Marenus Calgar, who have to know they exist if they ever have to work together. Those Space Wolves present at the Firs War of Armageddon also know of the Grey Knights, as Logan Grimnar refused to allow mind-wiping of his men, and did everything he could to impede the Inquisition as they enacted their cull, although they were ultimately unsuccessful. The Space Wolves are under close scrutiny from the Inquisitionbecause of it.

Regular citizens and Imperial Guard are no so fortunate. They are expendable. All those who witness the Grey Knights or Daemons are killed. Some regiments who have proved themselves in the heat of battle are instead subjected to a quicker mind-wipe process, which has a very high mortality rate. There are obviously the higher command of the Imperium who have to know of the Grey Knights, such as Segmentum Commanders, the High Lords, and the Lords of the Inquisition.

Yes, there are precedents for this.

After the first war for Armageddon, The GK's tried to purge the Imperial Guard regiments that survived the war due to them coming into contact with Chaos. The Space Wolves wouldnt let them.

I can't actually remember what happened. I think either they somehow managed to do it anyway under the SW's noses and greatly angered them, or they backed off, waited until the regiments were redeployed to other planets, followed each regiment to its new deployment and just exterminatused the entire planet to get rid of the guard, ironically causing a larger death toll than the first war for Armageddon itself.

I could be remembering that wrong, can anyone confirm/correct me?

They went about the cull as usual, they were hindered by the Space Wolves, but they were not able to do much to prevent to mass killings. Due to the large scale of the confrontation, many regiments slipped the noose when being deployed to other places for re-supply, but were tracked down, and often the entire planet they were on was put to the Sword. Ultimately, many more billions died even after the battle had ended, although knowledge of the Grey Knights was contained to the Space Wolves who refused to be mind-wiped, and the members of the Inquisition.

Most let it happen.
There are some secrets a marine doesn't want to know.
They also have an obligation to follow the Inquisitor, marines often value their honour over their own lives.

You know I think it's really impossible to hide the existance of chaos to SM, after all if you try to hide the existance of chaos then wth happened to half of the legions ? Come on now.

And as far as Astartes might be concerned they are not even GODs as the Emperor clearly not only banned any for of religion from the Imperium, going so far as to execute high officers for that (afaik), and since most of the chapter creed predate by a few thousands years the Eclesiarchy they still follow the emperor's teaching, not the religious rant of the ministorum (which lead to tensions between them and the astartes way too often). So, Chaos Gods= some kind of hubber xeno like the eldar avatar. Does that makes any sense ?

Most soldiers know about Chaos...
They don't mention it to everyone though, it isn't common knowledge.
Space Marines obviously know about it, they have to.
The main reason witnesses are executed is because of possible taint rather than them knowing anything... though that helps too.

I hope you didn't decide to buy the GK codex because of bandwagoning.

Anyway, I don't think the people of Armageddon were killed - they were sent to work camps for the rest of their lives. So...worse than death.

All is forgiven if repaid in Traitor's blood.

They were sent to work camps and worked to death...
Contructive death in fairness considering they managed to rebuild half of the planets hives in only a few months (or was it years?)

The only reason I mentioned the camps is because I think this course of action is more typical when you have almost an entire planet's population seen/hearing of Chaos. Not only is exterminatus out of the question (it is a Forgeworld) a campaign to purge the entire planet of people is highly unlikely to result in 100% success, but will result lots of wasted resources. If it's a small number of people, they can kill them fairly easy, but if it's such a huge number of people, telling them, "Jump on this space-ship for a better life!" is a lot easier.

All is forgiven if repaid in Traitor's blood.

Well kinda...
If they wanted to kill a large group of people they would simply use bigger guns...
Orbital bombardments and such.
They put them in work camps because they needed to rebuild the planet. It was a pretty clever idea but most plantes daemons have been on are purged (Exterminatus)
