I saw the ultramarines movie the other day and i found it, to be honest, sh*t.

i've been watching the videos for the both of them and from where im standing the graphics are better in SM even game-play graphics are better in SM.

do you agree, or did you like Ultramarines?

There is a large difference in funding...

Has Space Marine got a release date yet?
And this blooming 40k MMO, which probably won't be out for 3 years, don't know why they have to tell us there making it, release trailers when its way off completion....

How fething incompetent were the MIGHTY Astartes?! I mean, feth me. The power armour was made of cardboard, the Commander was a cocksure idiot who tried to solo a DP, and the only sane man in the squad is a geriatric Apothecary so everyone ignores him. The mightiest of them all are the ultramarines?! They were worse than guard conscripts!

Really? I found the marines (loyalists) to be stupidly overpowered. They fight off 100s of chaos marines then an initiate beats a daemon prince in combat.

The movie was a big let down, was expecting much more from it. As for Space marine not seen anything from that.

Well I can't say Ultramarines was a let down. I never got past the scene where they were walking through the desert after getting dropped off by the Thunderhawk. I kept falling asleep for some reason. So I can't really comment on the whole movie...

Due to the amount of suckiness the movie apparently was, is there any place which I can see the movie for free/ a small fee?

Watch it at a friends?

Usually voice acting work is pretty cheap, actors can do it in a day or two, there's not make up, heck they don't even need to memorize their lines.

Mattyrm pretty much covered it. I could have forgiven a lot if the story was good, but it definitely was not what I expected of space marines. Another thing that bugged me was the feeling that there were just 12 guys cruising around on a giant battle cruiser all alone.

I am glad I didnt buy Ultramarine, a friend did and I watched it once, it was ok to watch, once but I have no desire to rewatch and I normally rewatch my SF a lot. Like Damnatus, I like rewatching that too, the special effects are even cheaper than Ultramarine, but its pulled off nicely.

Yes It's a game and i mean both in game and the cutscenes.
