says the twin linked flamer can fire after a 12" move. Is this the same if I put the bolter or melta upgrade instead? Is the thing a fast vehicle?

The Immolator is a bit of a relic from an old codex. The Immolator is not a fast vehicle and it can only fire its twin linked heavy flamers after moving 12". All the other weapons follow the normal rules.

Immolators are best taken as transport options for Dominions and Celestians, they are a waste of a heavy slot generally speaking. Since those unit options are pretty much Meltas and Flamers you might as well close distance with the Immolator and take the TLHF.

Also, don't forget it doesn't come with smoke so you need to buy that.

Another point to add is that Immolators have a firepoint, just like a Rhino, allowing 2 models to fire out (using the standard rules for such in the BRB). This makes Immolators a bit different from Razorbacks, in addition to their ability to fire its TWHF after mover 12".

A firepoint allows ONE model to fire, unless stated otherwise

THOSE are the standard BRB rules....

and...

if you've moved 12" you wouldn't be able to fire out of it anyway (I think?)

In the CSM codex it states that rhinos have 1 fire point which 2 models can shoot out of. Although I'm unaware if this is the same in Codex: Witch Hunters?

This is an exception to the usual rules, and so needs to be stated in every case.

Besides, an Immolator is not a Rhino even if it's based on the same hull.

An immolator has a special rule allowing it to fire it's flamer after moving 12" gr1m_dan. It makes a statement about inacurate shooting since a flamer is pretty much just spray and pray anywho. I guess in a new codex it may just say that the heavy flamer is a defensive weapon. As far as it goes it only has 1 FP and only one person can shoot out of it. Witch hunters being an older codex has a few rules in it that don't mesh with all the newer stuff looking at seraphim hit and run in particular. They did a Errata on it and said just for the most part do as the codex says not BRB

I know it can move 12" and fire it's H Flamer. I meant that the guys inside cannot fire out of it if it moves 12" as per the usual passenger rules.
