I'm trying to make a space marine army list. Note this is NOT a win at all costs army list. Here it is:

HQ:
Kor'sarro Kahn on moondraken 205
Troops:
8 man bike squad with attack bike w/ multi-melta, and two flamers 265
8 man bike squad with attack bike w/ multi-melta, and two melta guns 275
10 man scout squad w/ sniper rifles, one man has missile launcher, and telion 200
Heavy support:
9 man devistator squad w/ 2 lascannons, and 2 plasma cannons 274
Land Raider Crusader w/ extra armour, multi-melta 275

That Devastator squad is doing little for the points it costs. I'd take another bike squad.

I find 5 an dev squad with 4 MLs work well..that is 150 points. also, are the bike squads full? I would think you want eh option of combat squading them

To answer your question for him, they have an attack bike attached to it so yes. He can combat squad them to one 5 bike unit and one 3 bike unit with an attack bike.

My friend and I have done some testing and have found vulken is actualy the best charicter in the book. We made a list around him but I would like some long range support.
Here's the list, what do you think (and what can a cut to get some long range support)?

Heavy support:
LRC w/ multi-melta, extra armour 275

The attack bikes are pretty long range. 12" movement plus another 12" in melta range or 24" regular weapon range. Plus a twin linked boltgun included. And you can assault if you fancy your chances.

True, but what if i'm up against orks? 5 24" range wepons aren't going to get the job done.

I've edited the list again. I replased the rhinos with drop pods, alowing my tatical squads to get close enough to do there job.

The melta Dreads deserve the drop pods more really. If you can scrounge up the points for one more drop pod in, you can have your two Dreads popping in first turn to blow up your opponents armor.
