Now has anyone ever seen the movie Predator? Sometimes I feel like the only person who loves it xD
BUT, I made a codex for them xD
There is no where else on the forum to post this, so hey why not.
Here it is, BTW the spelling ain't crash hot.

Predator Bios

The Predator or "Hunter" race is an alien race with the greatest
weaponary the Immerium has ever seen, and that it has not.
The Predator race beleives in the great art of the hunt, a trip
to any planet they find and hunt the creatures that live there.
The Hunter race does not care for what the game of the hunt is
and seeing as this great race has clashed with another race know
as the Xenomorphs for hundreds of thousands of years, they need
a new game, one more deadly than the Immperium, than the xenos they
fight... but so far no race has the thrill that their old rivals had.

Youngblood
A young blood is a Predator that has only just begun his hunt for the
first time, although no one should underestimate them, they may have
never hunted before but their combat skills and strength will smite
the foes that a foolish enough to stand between them and eternal glory.

Spear Master
A Predator may choose one or two areas of expertise.
A "Spear Master" has trained in the art of close quarter combat
with a long powerful bladed staff called a Combistick, they are
fearsome even to their kin, Spear Masters are often chosen as the
royal guard of their king or lord.

Disk Master
A Disk Master lacks what skills the spear master has and has only
the melee skill of a youngblood, however at any form of range this
is a enemy that no man wants to face, the disk master knows all his
targets vital organs as he is a master of human and xeno Bios,
he will target these. his weapon the Smart Disk is a contantly
spinning circular disk, the Master also knows that if he targets
his blade right it can sometimes become "stuck" in the foe painfuly
spinning and tearing him apart.

Stalker
a Stalker is an elite class of the Predator race using his stealth
skills and his high powered Bleeder Rifle he can cut down a line of
infantry so quietly that once the man was down he can grab the body
drag them off and create his trophy before the rest of the unit realises
he's gone.

Hunter
Hunter class Predators are trained in the art of melee combat and speed.
They are taken to jungle like forests by their elders and are tested in
every kind of terrain. They are also trained for rapid and brutal strikes
at their foe as well as a ranged plasma caster, they are a pure assault unit
rather than a mixed stand of assault and defence. These
Predators are used for hit and run hunts.

Reaver
Reavers do not follow any of their kin traits other than stealth.
A pack of Reavers are the ultimate stealth teams useing the terrain
around them to outflank, outsmart and outmanuvare their prey.
In melee combat Reavers have only one effect on the prey, sheer horror.
Their attacks are fast and deadly and are very often overkill.
using recordings in their masks from other creatures they have slain
they can play them and mix them to create a horrifying sound of fear.

Vanguard
The Predators most destructive unit, they are deathless and know no
fear no mercy and no defeat. These Predators are covered head to toe
in the most resistant armour ever found by these universe searching
aliens, Bolter fire pings of the thick armour and lascannons seem to
have no effect on these unstoppable juggernaughts, if the fact that
no weapon can slow them isn't morale damageing enough, the weapon that
these Vanguard carry are proof that these foes are death incarnate.
A sythe around the size a space marine asarties, pulsing blue and clucthed
in two enourmous gaunleted fists, these weapons are the ultimate fear
of any being, it will haunt them forever after seeing their commrades
being sliced clean in two.

Elders
The Elders of the predator race are the fathers, teachers and heros of the
entire predator race, their trophy rooms overflowing with the kills on hundreds
of different and dangerous game. The Elders very rarly hunt with the youngbloods
As they have to train and over-see them at almost all times. However when these
Achient warriors do come to hunt. The game they seek is doomed as these Great
ones have killed many times before and have turned killing into a second nature.

Predator Lord
The King of their noble mighty race, the Predators ultimate warrior, every Predator
has an enourmous mental capacity and is mighty in their own skills, but this
warrior is chosen for not only his leader ship skills but his combat skills,
These great kings gain no honor or glory from the simple killings on younger races
such as the race of man, and only remember what the thrill of the hunt
means when they do battle with the universe's greatest and most dire prey.

Proton Turret
Almost never really used for the Predator race has no need to fight other than
sport. pure and simple. But should these weapons be used in a time of need,
then there is no greater fire power in the galaxy.
Firing blast after blast of blue death at the target, no weapon can match
the awesome destructive power of the Proton Cannon.

Wolf
The predator know only as "Wolf" is one of the finest warriors ever to live.
His Knowlage of both ranged and melee combat is something to truly fear. However
what makes him truly dangerous, is his choice of weapons. Wolf believes in a code,
if you can carry it, take it. His arsonal contains all but the heaviest of
weapons, and he uses every single one without flaw and without pause.

Black Heart
Once one of the greatest of the Elite predator unit, Black Heart was feared
by all, as he had even slaughtered other predator clans that apposed his own.
However there was a clan that's numbers were far too many for his brothers to
handle, one by one his brothers died until all that remained were his two closest
brothers who fought back to back until every last rival was destroyed.
Now Black Heart has nothing but his two brothers left as he seeks
aid from perhaps another clan, and with the pain of losing so many clan brothers,
nothing will stop him from destroying anyone and anything that threatens his
remaining brothers.

Predator Special Rules

Predator
The entire race of predators have many great skills
one of which being stealth and using their fansastic technoigly
they can cloak themselves and become invisable. For the fact any
unit in a predator army with Predator special rule can infiltrate
and up to 2 squads in an army may deep strike straight to a scene
as if there was a teleporter beacon, and may assault on the turn
they enter play.

Cover Ground
Any unit in a Predator army other than Vanguard and Proton Turrets
may capture points and count as scoring units.

Understanding
Predators are the ultimate race of understanding.
Predators do not gain experiance in Campagns.

Mighty Roar
In the begining movment phase a Predator Lord may roar once per game.
this makes the whole army gain +1 to strengh until the end of the
turn.

Painting The Predators
Predators work in clans that mark themselves with their own markings and colours.
A Predator army may be painted in any way the player may please.

Why collect a Predator Army?

A predator army is unique in the 40K world.
The entire army is about skill and speed.
They Predators are less in number than other armies like Tyranids
or Guardmen, but have the fire power and combat skill of 10 Space Marines
and can wipe out large armies with their tactics and strength.
smaller armys such as Chaos Space Marines or Necrons stand little chance as
these great warriors have around the same number of troops and are much
stronger.
When it comes to a shooting army the Predators are the ultimate counter,
being able to infiltrate and close with the enemy in very few turns.
melee armies will clash with you and will be defeated by your superior tactics
and weapons.

A fun army and very strong all It needs to work is some good tactics

Sorry, it just doesn't really fit.

The stats/rules: They're about as scary as a really nasty human commando. I'd probably give them similar stats to maybe a tyranid warrior at best, certainly not getting in to the realm of daemon princes.

Next: I'm not a big fan of crossovers, but I guess that's more personal feelings.




Actually, as I wrote the above, I realized something-- if you really want to do that, play them as Dark Eldar. They're fast, technologically advanced, lightly armored, heavily armed, prefer melee but have good range, are a finesse force, have crazy exotic weapons, hunt for the thrill.

There, legal and you can have your crossover.

Why s5? S4 T4 i understand, to represent how they are stronger and tougher than an IG commando (s3 t3), but s5 would mean stronger than an astartes, which they are not. Really they are more like s3.5 t3.5, rounded to 4. This is especially true on the 'special' predators... t6? That is at the level of Hive Tyrant and Carnifex, which themselves are larger/tougher than an Alien Queen.

For example, look at 'Wolf' who is t6. Is he tougher than an Alien Queen (I say not), who herself is not as tough as a Hive Tyrant?

Finally, instead of trying to make an entire codex, what about adding Predators as a choice and HQ to an existing codex? This way, you can balance the Predators to existing Codex choices.
