Hey everyone. I don't usually ask these... lame questions so to speak but im basically time-stripped for this assignment. Essentially i have to find a recent development (<3 years) to to with DC electrical motors, i would usually do this myself but it is incredibly difficult to find reliable/decent sources & time is of the essence (tests, tasks, other assignments etc).

So, if anyone know of any development (from universities, companies etc) which had been a development to the DC motor and would share some information (or just link me to the right direction) it would be much appreciated.

I don't know much (Anything) about the subject but i had a look anyway...
The most recent thing i managed to find was the gemini motor developed in 2004.
There was also this...

Not sure if that helps at all. It isn't even a full paper but it does mention a developement in using speed/current control to 'avoid unnecessary complicated control system while preserving a very fast and desirable response.'

Sorry if it doesn't help and good luck.

Maybe third link down?

Alternatively, you should consider abandoning this assignment and instead focusing on research for a time machine so that you can go back two weeks ago and try this when you actually were assigned it.

Patent publications for the last few years regarding DC motors.

Pretty technical stuff (read the abstracts first), let me know if this is helpful. If it's helpful but you can't find anything relevant, I can try looking for something else. If it's not helpful...well, I tried
