with the new resin finecast replacing the pewter range, what will GW do with the metal models still in stores- official GW stores and other hobby stores. Do you think its possible there would be a clearance to replace the models faster? -- sorry if this topic has been posted before but i didnt see it

You may see clearance of leftover metals at some independent stores. We don't really have an option for shipping things back. But most things aren't getting replaced by resin in the first wave of finecast, so not really a need to clear things out.
With the price of metals being what they are, GW may just ship it back from stores and recast it.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

They will have been sold at full price until stock runs dry or they.
Unsold stock will be will be shipped back to GW for recycling or Disposal (whatever GW deem most cost effective).

They will be given for free to the first person asking. Try it at your local GW store
No seriously: The last stocks of metal models available in finecast are currently returned to the main GW warehouse and sold direct only.

Years ago when GW stopped making the lead based stuff and replaced it with the White Metal they sold off the old lead stuff at a huge discount.
Can't see that happening now thou.... I'm inclined to think they will just keep sellIng it at full price until the current stock runs dry.....shame..

They made everything half price.
GW don't do sales any more, the last time I recall a sale was when they were getting rid of the Dogs of War range from the shops which must be 10 years ago.

Yeah Howard, I remember that clearly! I just happened to pop in to my old local GW (Peterborough) and they were flogging them off. I got a 2000pt CSM army for a rather small amount of money, it may have been a little longer than 10 years ago thou, IRCC it cost me around £60-80 for the army...... Not bad at all, although that was back when a single blister was like £2.99..... Ahhhh it was pretty awesome back then dude, when I started gaming a Rhino was £5!!!

The sale where they shifted the Dogs of War and some other stuff was about 10 years ago, I had a few things half price but didn't have a lot of money so chose the Giants of Albion over Asarnil the Dragonlord. Wish I'd had them both, but I got the Giants for £14 and a bit later on they were only available from GW's online collectors range for £40+!! Dear oh dear.
Anyway the lead sale was in the early 90s and lasted all of a weekend, I had Abbadon the Despoiler for £3.50, I'd wanted him for ages so was overjoyed.
