Its a rhino...still, wish i had 35 bones to set on fire.

That rhino looks like it was gutted right down the middle with a railgun. XD

Looks like a casual encounter , if not for the melted Rhino, it lacking in dramatic department. ( for example an injured marine crawling on floor aiming bolter at termie )

Is that a multimelta hit on the Rhino? Looks fab! The boxflocking looks pretty spiffy too. Nice work!

You should really think what is your dioramas (or we) story: Why, When and How? Think those when you make one and tell your ideas to us.
Still I like it but why, WHY in top of leman russ box? This kind of art should deserve better

I like parts of it, I'm confused why its on a box, seems a bit lifeless to me, seems a bit dull.

Another thing to think about is now you use your space, alot of areas in your diorama is just deadspace, nothing is really happening, this could easily be a quarter of the size.

In all seriousness. What you've done to the rhino is brilliant, very well done, BUT the rest of the scene just isn't epic enough to warrant a melted rhino...

Get some action, some wounded, more models and/or more terrain!

Right now the story seems to be the following:
CSM: "Whoa, dudes, check out that awesome-lookling scrapped rhino, I'ma go check it out"
*walk walk walk*
CSM: Oh, hey guys, sweet rhino conversion"
SM: "huh?"
Sergeant: *points gun* "KILL THE HERETIC!"
FIN

I also think basing the marines would help too, just because it would make them look like they belong to that scene... if that makes sense.

it's a chimera box probably you instantly wanted to make diorama but couldn't wait or look for proper base so you took the first large flat are you could find a box and why not? consider next time to use a piece of wooden board or something it's a great start

uh, What? on a box... I think you need some effects on the ground around the rhino. It's a destroyed/burned/blownup transport on a spotless lawn.

Any more thoughts? I realize this was very long ago, but i await criticism for future projects

Some tips,

Why not go a step further and make your next diorama on a proper piece of wood, hell, it's probably cheaper than a box.

If your making a diorama you want to show off the models and some fitting terrain, leaving the models on their base is ruining this.

Put some more effort in it, instead of gluing a piece of wood on your diorama, think about painting that piece of wood, is that piece part of the story I want to tell?

Diorama's are extremely fun to build, so please continue, and please consider the points above.

I like that.

It has a side-battle flavour. Like a chaos lord saying to one of his retinue terminator "Hey Bobby, we just fried a emperor's dogs rhino out of the way, got there and finish them".

My favorite pic is four where the trygon is looming over the marine. On a serious note, I like what you did to the Rhino. Fire is always the right answer!

I love the look of the melted out rhino, but am on the side of the rest of dakka. Add some more guys; dead, in combat, half melted etc. and on a box.... Besides those things great job on the rhino. I did tilt my head a little when i looked at the pic of it on fire, i thought maybe you had documented evidence of paranormal entities lol. When in doubt, BURN IT!!
