2 x 6 noise marines - champ with Doom siren, 6 sonic blasters, rhino with havoc launcher

2x 10 CSM - champ with power weapon, flamer, melta, IoS, rhino with havoc launcher

one thing I would change is the 10 man chosen unit. swap it for 2 units of 5 with 5 melters. it will serve you a lot better

I want a champion with a power weapon and a standard bearer in any chosen squads I take so that i can DS in my Oblits. can a champion be a standard bearer too? 6 is Slaanesh's sacred number!

not sure about that one :/ I dont think he can but if you take 2 units of 6 then you can have 5 melts and an icon

The entry says one model may take an icon. It doesn't say anything about an icon replacing a champ's PW or anything so I'd say yes, a champ can carry a PW and an icon in a chosen squad.

Regardless, I would definitely split that 10man squad into 2 smaller units /w 3-5 special weapons each. Power weapon is optional really. Icon is fine if you're going to DS with it, and if you're picking the cheaper slaanesh icon it keeps them cheap. If you're trying to slam as much into the enemy as early as possible you could take a greater daemon and plant it on one of the chosen champs. I wouldn't do it personally but the option is there and it fits with what you're attempting to do I think.

I just wanted to throw in a suggestion. Personaly I have had super great success with sorc lords lashing from inside rhinos. It works a treat for grabbing pesky units or monsterous creatures into melta range. I have gone off dps in my old age!

I'd get some more raptors... and then take a sorceror or a lord with Blissgiver...

Blissgivers are bloody amazing at killing enemy forces!

Thanks for all the help guys. Ii'm definitly going to go with two squads of chosen with a champ holding a PW and Icon.

My reasoning for having a champion with a power weapon is that my chosen are most ikely going to get charged early on and with the 5I, I'll be striking back first so the PW will give some much needed killing power.

If I go first and deploy them 18" within LoS then that's 6" movement and I can fire with the meltas. they will then get charged in the enemy turn and such like, if you do some of the theory behind it, they'll be in melee alot.

I was thinking about taking in some lesser daemons instead of a greater, just because I'll be able to get in more wounds (statistically) AND I can convert some old Genestealers into lesser daemons of Slaanesh (as I hate the Daemonette model)
