+1 for this. If there's anything that I could go for sooner than ever, it's some more resin Tau love for their hybrids. More specifically the broadsides

Expected with resin and people know how to work around it.
If a mini is horribly done you could just get a refund or a new one.

Buy metal on ebay?

Me, this is it for my 40k armies. I've worked with some resin in the past, but my family has a tendency to cancer, so resin dust is not for me.

The resin isn't carcinogenic, it's just not a good idea to inhale any sort of dust whatsoever. Just don't file things, and if you do wear a medical mask or something. You'll be alright.

I'm curious on how to strip paint and glue off of resin. I prefer metal models because I can just throw them into a goof off bath, which dissolves everything except bare pewter. With the switch over to resin, would it make restoring second-hand models harder (I prefer second-hand for cheaper costs and because I like the conversion challenge in restoration)?

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I suppose it would depend on the nature of just how much plastic is in this 'finecast' resin hybrid. Nail polish remover, however, is probably out.
