hi guys, I've always been a 40K man through and through but I've always noticed the truly stunning miniatures that PP has produced and I must say, I would love to start the game, if not for just the models but also because the game sounds quite refreshing and fun.

so, with the anniversary bundle thing going on I feel now is the perfect time for me to start playing. I'm hoping to get a small group of friends to start playing as well so I can do something with the models besides paint/ drool over them.

so my question is: what faction do I start? so far I really like the looks of cryx but the others are quite tempting too so I was wandering if someone could post the pros and cons of each faction to help me decide

Hordes and Warmachine are totally cross-compatible! You can use a Hordes faction to fight a warmachine one, very easily!

My local gaming store in colchester (4TK) has warmachine/horde tournaments.

If you're near here you can come down and play. Plus their open day is coming up where they do intro games.

True story. When I first started playing, I was the only Hordes-prmary player about. Still am Circle-primary and not really ever invested in WM. Its nice that they work together, as you can pick the faction taht bests suits your aesthetics and playstyle.

And stuff.

cool, I think if I end up playing hordes on the side line I might proxy my models but those dwagon spawn do look tempting lol

But seriously, you shouldn't look at WM and Hordes as different games if you ask me, it's just one fat game with 11 factions

They can fight WM armies. There is no significant disadvantage for doing so. The systems were made to interact with each other.

That's what I just said It's one big game, you shouldn't look at wm and hordes as seperate games.
