Subject: Conspiracy Theory Fun - The Illuminati Card Game
A co-worker was passing this around a while back and I never bothered to research it until now. Aside from the obvious fact that vaque descriptions can give the appearance of premonition, has anyone found any actual facts on this card game? I'm looking for a smoking gun here, mainly something that shows the cards where not in fact from 95 as they are stated to be.
There is a lot of speculation out there but here are really the only facts I could find at work:
Steve Jackson created as a fun joke in the 80s
'Spooky' cards are said to have been from 1995 edition but I cannot verify or deny that.

The story is clearly bogus.
Or you clearly don't know the game they are talking about. The Card game in question is Illuminati: New World Order and the most of the listed cards are real. I can't vouch for all of them because I never got the expansion. It was SJG's entry into the CCG boom of the mid 90's. Pretty fun game that captured the spirit of the original game rather well.
There was a CCG of Illuminati released in the 90s.
You know. When they tried to make everything CCG.
Highlander, anyone?

Subject: Conspiracy Theory Fun - The Illuminati Card Game
I was mainly wanting to know if these particular cards in questions (from the links) are actually from the Illuminati series from the mid 90s.
I know the game exists and I have seen most the cards plus I have been able to verify most of the info about Steve Jackson and the origins of the game.
Obviously if these were illustrated before the events it would been 'spooky'.
Of course the mind sees what it wants to see sometimes but I went through a lot of those cards and saw many 'coincidences' which is what prompted my research. Chowderhead mentioned it could be any clock tower which is true but I comparedthe tower at Ginza to Big ben and the one illustrated looks nothing like big ben and almost exactly like that at Ginza...just saying.
Anyway, my main goal was to debunk this as a co - worker swears the Illuminati is flaunting their power
