the game.. it is fun, there is a good mix of strategy and luck. as long as your playing with ppeopel who are also in it to have fun and not waac then its always a blast

The fluff. Hands down. Few fictional universes can match the depth and character of the 40k fluff IMHO.

The fluff came a close second to me as it is great but i got into the game because it was fun to play and challenged me

I would say im into it becouse of a mixture of the gaming, fluff and social aspects of it
it seems a lot to narrow down to just one

I mainly stay for the game. There seems to be so much going on compared to the other systems I've looked at so far (Kings of War and Warmachine). While yes, Warmachine is highly tactical and has different scenarios, most of the time it revolves around a caster kill, which I can see getting old.

What is best in 40k?

To crush tfg, see his armies driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the neckbeards whenever GW raises prices.

I think I like the social aspects of the game most. ^^

It gives me something to do with my mom, and I love chatting with my friends about the fluff, the rules, and the games I play.

The fluff. Nobody would pay attention to 40k without its fluff. The game mechanics are thoroughly mediocre, the investment required to play is more extensive than most other tabletop mini's games, and the models, while cool, aren't something that others couldn't provide similar products for.

It's all about the background. GW lives and dies by their IP.

Blowing s--t up! Nothing beats pushing lead across the table while your opponent sheds a tear over that lost unit. Then trying to save your own a-- when he begins to seek revenge!
