So I may be the only young adult who listens to NPR just aas much as I listen to my music but no matter, Last Saturday on my lunch break I was listening to NPR and of course it was the program "A Prairie Home Companion" was on. On one of the first scetches on the program there was a character who needs a shirt for an audition for a play. He asks the woman behind the counter what colors she has and begins a long tirade of different colors including zebra ( WTF). While listening and during the end i hear something that kinda sounds like ultramarine but im not sure. I was re-listening to the episode online today and truth be told i hear ultramarine again. What do you guys think?! this program is written mainly for older adults.
here is the link to the episode:
http://www.publicradio.org/tools/media_player/popup.php?name=phc/2011/05/21/phc_20110521_64&starttime=00:00:00.0&endtime=01:59:00.0
listen at 10:30 and by 10:50 you'll hear it.

I guarantee you Garrison Keeler has no idea who Marneus Calgar is, and the most Grimdark A Prairie Home Companion will ever get is a Lutheran Church in November hosting a bake sale.
To the vast majority of the world, Ultramarine is a color, not a transhuman warrior monk.

For cripes sake! There I was, face to the screen, listening in vain for the movie playing in the background. Then I realize it is just a lady listing colors. We have our "Dumba-- of the Day" winner...yay.

OK you got an LOL out of me... bravo! I have heard some interesting stories on NPR so was hoping there was a story on this odd subculture we're all part of... But the ultramarine thing was hilarious.

So... GW needs to start a lawsuit with the art community?
Demand royalties for every use of the pigment and restrict its use from the southern hemisphere?

It's a Canadian chain, isn't it? I remember going to Quebec one time and being pleasantly surprised when I saw the station.
