Why would Justicar Thawn be a Psyker Mastery level 2? He only has 1 power. Or am I missing something?

Or Hammerhand twice, assuming that you believe characters are allowed to stack it like that. (Not the place for that discussion really).

Its so you have him cast Hammerhand(which benifits the squad) and the squad can then activate their Force Weapons.

or 2 hammerhands(although thats usually overkill)

2 hammerhands are possible. Says in the codex that their effect is stackable. But i woudl suggest one hammerhand and one force weapon.

not completly true.

the codex clarifies that Hammerhand and Might of Titan stack.

this is useless redundancy, as psychic powers have always been able to stack and psykers have always been able to cast the same psychic power twice(except where restricted, such as PSAs and the Eldar codex)

I think 4th edition restricted you from castng the same power twice, even if it isnt a PSA, but my book is a long way from here...

Don't forget Holocaust. GKT have 3 powers available to them of which they can normally use one per turn:

Hammerhand
Holocaust
Force Weapon activation

Thawn let's his unit use 2 of these 3 powers in one turn.

SJ

*My bad, had a retro-codex moment. GKT's do not have Holocaust.

Paladins have Holocaust not Grey Knight Terminators. Thawn is a Grey Knight Terminator upgrade.

I would like to know if his Fearless ability is conferred to the squad or only usable when he resurrects on his own.

It doesn't say he confers, therefore, he losses his fearlessness until he is all alone.

I guess the easiest way to get rid of someone that never dies is to make them run off the board with their squad ><

You do know that GKs have ATSKNF, and so will auto-rally unless you are nearby.

Right, so you can still escort them off the board, just like vanilla marines

That requires alot of variables to be in place.

its alot of effort to make sure Thawn doesn't come back and you can't count on it to work.

A 115 point model that can keep getting back up and screw you over in an objectives game

Yup,

I actually kill him 1st out of the squad(allocate Ap2 hits to him) so he can actually do that.

once he is out of the squad, he won't ever lose a combat and take fearless wounds(having only one wound means you won't ever take no retreat wounds unless its a multi-combat, and he won't ever be escorted off the board)

However, focusing so much attention on him will only result in you sending many times his points after him.

He is best ignored. he's just a scoring model that doesn't die, but he can easily tie your army up if you let him.

ignore and go after other things.

He's a lot of fun, I always kill him first on an objective so his squad can move on.
