The fact that he pauses every 5 seconds so that people can clap for his luke warm jokes makes me want to get all three stooges on his ass and engage in some serious eye poking.

Is there really any reason to post weekly "Bill Maher is so cool" posts? I appreciate the regular opportunities to make fun of the guy, but eventually even that stops being fun.

Maybe Brass Scorpion really is Bill Maher and he's trying to improve ratings (considering he's lagging behind "DC Cupcake Wars").

He wasn't particularily funny, though I'll admit there were a few lines there that made me chuckle. But what is with US TV comedians not being able to deliever a joke before laughing at it themselves?

if nothing else, it's fun to piss off the conservative elements. I personally enjoy Bill Maher, and appreciate the thread.

Personally, I liked Dennis Miller's version back when he had his show on HBO.

Maher's not bad, but he definitely doesn't have any middle ground.

Putting aside the fact that most of us will never be as cool as you, what is the reason to have the majority of political discussions Dakka hosts here weekly?

Just about every one of them devolves into the same entrenched talking points and an excuse for the usual suspects to engage in soapboxing, trolling, and as you exhibit above "cool indifference".

If Dakka had any brians at all they would ban all political threads and moderate/ban offenders, but well...

I supported just such.
