do storm bolters give a extra attack for two cc weapons on gks?
I really have no idea but it looks like they might judging by how they hold them.

no, they are not cc weapons so they dont give +1 attack paired with a cc weapon, on the other hand pistols are cc weapons so..... +1 attack.

No they do not, they dont count as pistols (AFAIK unless they have a specific GK entry that says they are?).

They no longer grant a bonus attack, the True Grit rule in the previous codex allowed it, but that has been removed.

correct, that special rule no longer exists.
it was a rule in the 4th edition rule book and with the old chapter traits chart in the 4th ed SM codex you could take it for your vanilla marines(pistol+bolter gave +1A)
the rule had a downside in that you couldn't claim the benifit when charging. so you were simply at +1A regardless, but no additional bonus for charging.
the GKs also had it standard in the DH codex.
but the rule has been erased from memory.

It had gone through a couple changes since 3rd.
In 3rd edition it was a Special rule only available to PAGKs with their Storm bolters, Plague marines, and Space wolves; and it was different for all 3(for SB on PAGK, and one of them Plagues or GHs had the no charge bonus distinction, or couldn't fire on the way in: I don't fully remember).
In 4th edition it became a USR(poorly worded as all 4th ed); whereing the Plagues, Wolves, and all GK got it(USR rules in 4th said to replace the paragraphs of rules that were in the codex, codex said PAGK ponly, USR didn't). Then the new Chaos Codex came out and the plagues lost true grit but gained their Pistol(for Pistol, Chainsword, and Bolter).
In 5th the USR was again lost, SWs had theirs from their Codex and GK had their Codex version(meaning it was back to PAGK-only), then the SW codex came out and it was gone from their codex(again all 3 weapons given to grey hunters). And with the final GK codex release it is completely gone(and GK got no compensation for the loss excepting a fairly awesome codex).
