Back when I collected
LOTR SBG models, I picked up the fantastic Helm's Deep model that
GW released. Everyone I knew preferred their Minas Tirith, even if they never got their hands on it, but I always preferred Helm's Deep. Anyways, it sat unused in its box for ages and, despite being used a couple of times in games, never really did anything. So, with some spare high-density polystyrene at hand, I decided to create a base for it! Note: I
did not build the actual Helm's Deep model, I only built the base it sits on! I know the scales are a bit off and that the causeway and all that aren't as tall as they should be but I'm quite proud of it
The rock I painted up really doesn't match that of the Helm's Deep piece and it's even more apparent in the pics, but just so you know I am aware that it doesn't blend in yet! That's something for the future! Some of the pics have some of the few Uruk-Hai I have left in them, and I quickly cut the background out on Photoshop so that explains the jaggy edges
Anyways, here's the pics!
Didn't have any Riders of Rohan at hand... but I think the Death Rider is more than a match for the Uruks!
