Have you playtested this list yet?
I'm curious to know how it does against Green Tide...and oddly enough, against a three Monolith Necron list.
I'm also interested in how you do against an assault terminator heavy list.
I'm guessing that your list is going to do very well against some opponents and will get tabled by some too.
Let's review: Nine
LRBTs that only shoot at three targets a turn. Tend to scatter. Can't insta-kill
TEQ. In squadrons so immobilized results will kill the first two
LRBTs in each squadron. Hello Space Wolf Long Fang Missile Launchers and any S8 melta firing at long range.
Three Vendettas that are great at three hard targets a turn but suck against anything else. Melta vets that are stuck in the Vendettas (and can't shoot) or are in two Chimeras that will eat all S6 and most S7 shooting.
A
CCS that can't give orders to anyone. Also in a third Chimera that will eat S6 and S7 shooting.
Some opponents are going to ignore your
LRBTs until they kill all of your troops. It won't take long. Exploding a Vendetta or Chimera causes all of the passengers to take a S4 hit with a 5+ armor save. I usually lose 3-4
IG each time a vehicle explodes. Then they're pinned or fleeing unless my
CCS is within 12" with a regimental standard, which you don't have.
I think your list has personality and will draw attention, but I don't think you will do well with it against good players with better
TAC lists. You just don't appear to have enough all purpose firepower and your troop units don't have staying power (neither survivability nor numbers). The
LRBTs don't provide the firepower because they are stuck in three units. The vets don't provide it because they're stuck in transports with melta guns. The
LRBTs are survivable (until the enemy closes in assault, when the tanks will die just as easily as Chimeras) but they will be on your table edge shooting most of the game and can't hold or take objectives. The infantry will not last long under enemy fire or assault but they will likely be the focus of your opponent's attention.
Oh well, the proof comes on the tabletop. Let me know how it works out for you.
