Plague Marines...
Necron Warriors could be better with the proper support but 1v1 Plague Marines are better IMO.
And, i agree, it is an odd comparison.

Plague marines, all the way (and i am a Necron player)

necron - T4, I2, Wbb on a 4+, S4, AP5 RF guns

Plaguemarines - T5, I4, FNP on a 4+, blight grenades (so better in assault), same basic guns but also able to take special weapons.

Plague Marines also get an additional attack in CC because of their BP/CCW combo (in addition to their bolter or special weapon).
