Hi, I'm fairly new to 40k and Dakka, but have been into the literature and fluff for a while. I currently play BA, but my favorite faction fluff wise is the mechanicus. I was wondering if them becoming a playable army was possible and what you all thought of the idea. They'd probably be heavy on the vehicles and have some powerful weaponry. The only problem I see is that the mechanicus don't fight in many real battles, so they'd have few troop options. I know the tech-guard would occasionally attack someone for some cool piece of ancient tech, but besides that not much troops. Maybe Servitors. Any opinions or suggestions welcome.

Counts-as using Imperial Guard, or Grey Knights codex using Coteaz and Henchmen Warbands, or perhaps even the Imperial Armor list for the Tyrant's Legion (space marines + guard).

I would like to see advanced vehicles and weapons. maybe servitor troops with different levels of tech priests leading them. Guard type troops aswell but with more advanced weapons or relics from the dark age of technology. I have always been a fan of the mechanicus

Welcome to the Daemonhunters, the ranks of the exalted Ordo Malleus and their cannon fod....er, I mean, loyal allies. Remember...the only ones who need fear the righteous might of the Ordo Malleus are the Daemonic.

That codex is great, but It probably needs lots of conversions to look good and on my schedule I'm gonna have to wait to see if GW makes them playable

So Nicholas, but the emphasis there would be on "wait" and "if".
Should they do so - which is unlikely - it won't be for a long time I'd expect...

There's no such thing as Knight Titans. There are Knights, there are Titans, but the two are mutually exclusive...
