Got some good news for those In the US on the fence about air brushing. Harbor freight has a really great sale going on right now. You can pick up a starter brush for $15. A five gallon air tank for $25. Or pick up a compressor/air brush combo for $90. Adapter sets going for $5, and cleaning pack for $2.
Just something for the fence riders to think on. Or anyone looking for examples of good prices.

Gonna have to go w/ Voryn on this one. I bought a 'rotary tool' there because @ the time I didn't have the money for a Dremel - shoulda saved up. The collet was off center, so it wobbled when turned on. Needless to say it was pretty useless for anything but most course shaping. So it essentially took me twice as long to get the Dremel that I wanted in the 1st place. Also, I had a friend just purchase this 'deal'. Two days after he bought it - the compressor died... I'll never buy from them again.

Well...
1.2/3 of the tools mentioned weren't the air brush in question.
2. According to the woman I talked to yesterday, there is a no questions 60 day turn policy; why didn't you return the rotary top you bought? Why didn't your find return the combo and get a new one? Sometimes faulty units do make it out.
3. Were the tools you two mentioned manufacured by HF, or another company? You can't blame HF for the mistakes of other companies.
I'm not trying to be an ass, it's just I'd rather not see someone shy away from this deal based on misinformation and/or poor choices.

Poor orks... Why can't they be the good guys for once?
All they've ever really wanted is whatever you have...

Harbor Freight QC is iffy, to be sure, but they do have a decent return policy. Before you order from them, make sure to check if there's a physical location near enough to you. Not only will you save on shipping, you can frequently avoid obvious issues by checking the item out, in person. In-store returns/replacements are faster, too. I've gotten a few cheap duds from them, but most of the tools have more than earned their price tag. It's a gamble, but if you have an easy out, it's worth playing the odds.
