So there's a kill point tournament coming up next weekend and I figured I'd make things interesting with Grey Knights. Here are my ideas:

Kill Team 1:

Venerable Dreadnought
Plasma Cannon, Heavy Flamer, Special Rule: Fleet -195

Kill Team 2:

Paladins 3x
1) Daemon Hammer, Special Rule: Eternal Warrior
2) Force Sword/Psycannon, Special Rule: Furious Charge
3) Halberd, Special Rules: Feel No Pain -185

What do ya'll think?

uhhhmmm... to get feel no pain, one of the terminators has be upgraded into a apothecary, which costs 75 points o.O

I don't see the points adding up to apothecary mentioned within your upgrade listing.

Not entirely sure what you are trying to do with the venerable dread, I understand ya want a good deal of mass death from him, but he seems a little everywhere tbh.

In a kill team game you get special rules to put on people so the FNP is free.

I like the Paladin list, it would be fun to play with three infantry models.

I think that Storm bolters are good in kill team as you can kite enemies with them. Have you considered taking a squad of interceptors and just playing keep away until you need to assault.

You could have the Psycannon be relentless, then take FNP on the Sarge with a hammer or something like that.

Interceptors would be a good idea; however, there's somethin so appealing about 2 wound Terminators stalking their prey.

We'll be playing it on 3x3 tables so I'm not sure if the extra movement is entirely necessary.

Actually I just realized there is a problem with your paladin list.

You have to take 5 paladins before you can buy special weapons. That puts you over the points limit.

Only having storm bolters and close combat weapons will not cut it. Ithink you need to have an anti tank gun of some sort.

Even regular termies can not get a Psycannon in under 200 pts.

I think that either purifiers or Interceptors are going to be your best best. The ven dread would be interesting, but if they have melta, you are kinda toast.

This has been a point of contention between the TO and I for a while now. According to him, unit minimums will not be necessry to activate upgrades. I.e. a tactical squad could be 5 strong and still take a Lascannon and Plasma Gun. That explains the Psycannon. Now for the Venerable, I'm toying with the idea simply because each turn he'll probably be killing a guy a turn with the Plasma Cannon. Most of the people taking part will be using Marines so I figured he would do pretty good.

With the above said, do you still hunk Interceptors or purifiers would be a better choice?

No, because the models are individuals not units, so you just shoot the Melta/s first...

I was thinking of a Guard player with 3 or more melta guns. 2 sets of 3x melta vets is 200 pts exactly I think. You can use the lasgun guys to hide your melta guns, and 6 of them will be hard to take out.

I think that blast templates are not as good in Kill Team as people are very spread out. It is hard to hit a single model with a template.

What about an Assault Cannon instead?

Do you have any idea what other people are taking?

Could you take 5 interceptors and get 2 Psycannons (based on the no squad size limits for upgrades)? I still think they could be good, simply for their firepower and ability to kite enemies.

6 Interceptors, 2x Psycannons, then you could get some halberds and a hammer for the Sargent.
You target any mobility or long range fire first, then dance around shooting, or assault as needed.

you could take relentless on one psycannon and Slow and Purposeful on the other. (how does SoP work with jump infantry anyways? Dangerous terrain tests?)
