Couldn't resist the urge to include that classic Independence Day line in my title

This log is just going to follow the building of my 750pt Doublewing strike force. I took several years off from the hobby and this is my first foray back into gaming so I thought it would be fun to keep a log. This first post will cover everything up to this date (which isn't much ).

First decided to get back into the hobby in November of last year. I planned to lurk around dakka and other places and learn as much as I could about what I'd missed while I waited patiently for the anticipated release of the new GKs, which I thought would be my re-entry force. But, I was rather unimpressed with the new GK and had to turn my attention elsewhere. Termies really caught my eye and lo! I settled on a Deathwing force. After much headbashing, it eventually turned into a Doublewing list due to the difficulty of pure DW at 750 pts. You can see the "final" list in my sig - I may also pick up some toys (VenDread, Libby, Chappy?) after I'm done with the main list just for fun.

As of now, I'm in the process of working out an effective color scheme and doing test termies.
