After about a month of re-scheduling we finally got this game under way. This is a 2v2 game each person getting 1500pts for their army.it was a really good game, but i'm writing down the summaries because i'm also tired and writing this before I forget.
(i'll edit the lists when the guys give me the proper ones)
Team 1
using names to make it easier to type.
Grey Knights(me)

grandmaster- incinerator, falchions, blind grenades, psychotroke grenades, psyflame ammunition (at the time I thought he could get psyflame, I found out when I got home)

team 2 wins the roll but decides for us to go first

I just have my two rhino's on the field, same as my partner but he has his hq wandering alone.
the other team sets up in the back waiting to shoot the crap out of us since thye have a lot more long range weaponry.
I gave 3 guys counter attack proved to be pretty much useless but ohwell theres a reason few people like dawn of war.

turn one
Well the night fighting screwed us over except when I remembered that smurfs get searchlights for free on their rhinos. my rhino gets stunned and one of my partner's rhino explodes killing a guy in the process. fortitude negates that stun result. all that really happens on my side is a tactical marines got killed by a stray bolter round.


turn two
reserve rolls arent that good for us. all I get is my purgation squad while alex gets most of his reserves (2 dreadnoughts, techmarines, devastators, veterans, and his tactical squad he left in reserve for his scouts getting in one of the bastions)
My shooting kills one or two guys in the lascannon combat squad. alex stuns one of edd's rhino's and thats about it. The other guys roll even bad for reserves and only get the lascannon dreadnought I believe.
Edd manages to blow up one of alex's dreadnoughts and almost did the same to his other, he's starting to get bogged down by the barrage of lascannons now. A stray lascannon rips the storm bolter off one of my rhino's.


turn three
Nothing for my side in reserves,mike gets everything but the sanguinary priest deepstriking everywhere on the field, weaponless and now being empty for that strike squad left it my rhino rams tycho's rhino and does nothing. purgation squads proceeds to completley anihilate the same rhino rolling everything on the chart (I think it exploded 3 times) none of tycho's men are hurt sadly. The disembarked strike squad then rips through the naked combat squad that was pot shotting them and denting their armor. Edds cannons seem to whiff everytime this turn. Mike's baal predator comes in and tries to gun down the offending strike squad but kills maybe one guy.

turn four
My two units finally come in the paladin squad with grandmaster deepstrike next to purgation squad while my dreadknight assault the sanguinary guard whom tried to give alex and my heavy weapon squad a hard time. The roaming strike squad rips off the vidnicators cannon with grenades (it kept scattering and only killed a few guys in the end anyway). alex tries to assault the black company squad and ultimately stalemates in combat. The same rhino rams tycho's crew and wedges them in a circle of terrain killing their mobility. Alex's landspeeder that snuck on the field (wasn't paying attention honestly) manages to stun one of edd's lascannon rhinos and then dies to whats been killing him this whole time... another lascannon. The predators fire yet more lascannons at my paladins who make most of their saves but strength 9 ap 2 doesnt care about multiple wounds or feel no pain so half of them go down.

turn five
I get tired of those lascannons as alex is not doing his job of killing them. The dreadknight shunt punches a predator but got intercepted by a technicality to keep him from assaulting it and ate a rhino instead (something about how my base was so big I couldnt run though its inch safety zone since they were so close and going around would assault the disarmed vindicator). oh well one of the strike squads blow up a predator hiding in the corner with a landraider while they got assaulted by terminators (for some reason I thought the landraider was empty).counter assault kinda helped but ed made a crap load of 5++ saves so the powerfists ultimately made them a bloody mess. the dreadknight takes a bunch of lascannons shot and loses two wounds out of it.

we roll and get a 3, thanks to dawn of war it ends unlike most games. alex and I ended up losing by only one killpoint alex just couldnt keep his vehicles alive techmarines only help vehicles when they don't explode. Overall it was really fun and was my second time playing grey knights so I learned a lot of what their limits are, good dice rolls help too. everyone agreed in the game that we hate trees, the terrain trees kept falling over and screwing with everyones line of sight.

Sorry if its a little hodge podge I did a rush job on the report.
One day I will be bothered to use pictures to our eventually to be painted armies fighting. (you also can't tell what we used for proxies : D ).

Ill look forward to the full report when you write it out, looked like a fun game. I know also have a way to easily kill paladins - lascannon spam!
