I have been under the assumption that GW had errated the Drop Pod rules so that an embarked unit can not split into combat squads the turn the Drop Pod enters play. However I can not find where it clearly states this. I have looked in the BRB FAQ and the Codex SM FAQ to no avail. Have I been playing this wrong?
Thanks.

You've been playing it wrong
Why would htey have given Drop Pods a specific rule to allow the embarked squad to combat squad, then removed it via errat?

It really isnt over powered. I like 5 man marine squads, dead easy to kill.

They very specifically say you can CS DP troops (kinda the point for codex marines, really). They even force you to take the 10 man squad to get the DP, so then disallowing one of the few codex marine awesome rules (combat squads) would be a double penalty.
By the Golden Throne!, let my C:SM have something better than all the other Grandchildren of Big E.

Yeah, you can CS SM on a DP.( LOL, so many abbreviations )
There is a loop hole there somewhere, like you can't have 2 squads on a transport but since it DS and they disembark immediately, they can do it. Something like that.

The Space Marine Codex specifically allows a ten figure squad, with the Combat Squad special rule, to split into two five figure combat squads after it lands in a Drop Pod. See the Combat Squad paragraph in the codex on page 51.
Everyone seems to be in agreement. I'm just specifying the codex reference.
