So my birthday is coming up and my gaming group and my girl told me there going to help me start a 1750 point list and i came up with a Minotaur army, as it was my first army ever when it used to be possible in the beastmen book. Now the one problem is i hate the GW models (they look way to roided)
so here is the model list i got so far

Shaggoth count as
http://banelegions.maelstromgames.co.uk/?tag=bnb-009

Throgg count as
http://banelegions.maelstromgames.co.uk/?tag=bnl-007

so any ideas were one could find 18 good looking minotaur models that are not from the GW line?

Heres the list so far

Daemon Prince 435
Lvl 2
Shadow
Fury Of the Blood God
Diabolic Splendour

Throgg 175
Mutant Regeneration

8 Trolls 360

6 Trolls 270

Shaggoth 275
Ad Hand Weapon

5 warhounds 30

5 warhounds 30

5 warhounds 30

Total 1595

I need some ideas on how to get up to 1750, the list is built around Minotaurs and other big boys

Ooo, I would definitely be one to know all about this, as would RiTides, so you could always send him a PM.
I like your Shaggoth and Throgg counts as thus far, and personally I like the Avatars of War Minotaurs the best, though they can be quite expensive, especially for 14.

As for the list, I don't think you need 3 units of hounds. You should only need 2 units at most, especially at 1750, though thats just my opinion.

I think you should get another unit of Trolls in there, I personally love 6 man units, they seem to work the best for me, but RiTides prefers his bigger blocks .

The Daemon Prince I would give Third Eye of Tzeentch instead of Splendour, just because its really worth it in 8th, and I dont think Splendour is all that great since your not trying to fear bomb with this list (or so I assume).

Post the list in the Army list section if you already haven't, youll probably get more feed back there.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

with troll armies, you really want to max out your body count as you will need every troll you can get.

I think Troll armies work best at the 2k+ range.

Ritides had a vicious 3k list going on.

from memory it was Galrauch, Throgg, and a couple of Wizards. and a bunch of trolls, I think it was about 30.

having Galrauch be general gives a larger Inspiring Presence(18") for those all important Stupidity tests and between him and Throgg you can cover your entire army.

in theory, at 3k you could get Galrauch, Throgg, and 49 trolls.

Yah but the great dragon and heavy duty casters does not fit the Minotaur theme very well
