If I take five death company troopers which allows me to take a death company dreadnought do I have to run them as a squad
cause I thought the rule was you could only take one deathcompany unit per army

Death Company is not the same as a DC Dread. It's a different unit entry "unlocked" by having those five Death Company models, nothing more.

Yep Astroth is nothing to do with being able to take a death company dread because you have 5 death company.

Basically if you can have 1 unit of DC unless you have astoroth.
With 0-4 DC you can't have DC dreads
5-9 1 DC dread
10-14 2 DC dreads
15-19 3 DC dreads
20-24 4 DC dreads
25-29 5 DC dreads
30 6 DC dreads
Of course the FoC applies.. so best is 15 Death company and 3 Dreads. Of course they cannot score.

Shouldn't that be 25 and 5? That's six troops choices. Nothing actually requires you to have scoring units.
