Torture Victim in the Bowels of the Rock

Hello.
I've been a member of these forums for a while but never posted. I used to live in the Des Moines area and had a fairly regular group there that played 40k and Warmachine/Hordes. About a year ago I got a job in the Quad-Cities area and moved there. I just unpacked my models today...
I haven't seen any store or gaming groups around here, so I figured I'd introduce myself on here figuring maybe someone would see it and know of a store around here that sells/plays either 40k or Warmachine.
I just dusted off some Dark Angels that I assembled a LONG time ago and I think I'm going to try to paint them up.

There used to be a store in Moline with regular gaming and a pretty good 40 K group. Sorry that I don't remember what it was called, it's been 5 years or so since I left. If it is gone there are other groups, but you will have to drive farther. I also remember there was a failed paint ball place on the way to Dewitt that had a small group of players and one guy that made excellent terrain. I remember that the first name of the guy running the store in Moline was Terry, but I unfortunately don't remember his last name.

I used to live in Coal Valley (Moline High School class of 2002), so I think I know the place that you are talking about. There was a place called Game Emporium that got bought out and renamed Dragon's Sanctum, but it has shut down.
Now there is a store called Have Fun Collectibles on 23rd avenue, but he doesn't sell any tabletop stuff (just comics and board games) and it didn't sound like any groups play there.
I stopped by Tim's Corner in Rock Island yesterday but he also doesn't sell any tabletop.

Yep, Dragon's Sanctum was the place. This was the address:
Dragon's Sanctum
"Providing the latest in games, Role Playing and Miniatures."
3215 23rd Ave
Moline, Illinois 61265
(309) 762-5577
Hours
Mon-Sat 10-9
Sun 12-5
I guess maybe post a card at some of the other stores and see what happens. At least you know there are probably players around, you just need to find them. I am in the middle of BFE Nevada where it is hard to find anyone.
