Right now I play IG as gun line with tanks and armored sentinels running around popping tanks, I want to play a army that could be opposite of that, suggestions

every time you mention squats the GW count down to redo them is reset...

I'd argue Grey Knights. They're elite, capable foot-slogging, flexible in role and are pretty cheap. Albeit they're a bit FOTM.

Alternatively, Nids and Orks are pretty much opposites; numerous, foot-slogging, close combat etc.

Ultimately however just go for whatever takes your fancy.

Enlist as a virtual Ultramarine! Click here for my Chaos Gate (PC) thread.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Light, elite and fast.
They cannot take losses well but can dish out a fair amout of punishment and can zip around the batlefield quickly.

I started SM and am now working on IG.(much happier with IG, btw) I would recommend a chapter of SM as a secondary because they aren't too hard to play, you can put a little money in and have a playable force assembled and painted in a weekend, and you keep allegiances to the imperium for apoc games!
