Alright...i have set my sights on making the whole of middle earth so a few things i need to know.
1. what are the sizes of the minis in the sense of say a 60th of the size. dose anyone know?
2. where can i get ahold of a map of middle earth?
3. How much do you think it'll cost... it's supposedly going to have to be detailed since the terrain is to the size of the minis.
4. How long do you think it'll take me - i was thinking 2-4 years to complete the terrain and the maybe more for the minis.
5. where in the book/movie should i do the shot. i was thinking maybe when the orcs are attacking minas tirith.

All of Middle Earth?
The minis are 28mm scale
A map should be easy to find on the internet.
It'll cost a bomb.
It'll take bloody ages.
You could do it whilst the Battle for Helms Deep is going on because you could also do the Battle for Osgiliath at the same time.

Would this be a map all the way up to Angmar and all the way down to Umbar? Or is this just like rivendale to mordor kinda thing?

There is a project to create a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) of Middle Earth. They should have some detailed maps.

Either you're joking or you've got your terms mixed up here...you can't seriously be planning to recreate ever inch of Middle Earth at the end of the 3rd Age in 28mm scale...or come to think of it, any other scale?

This will be bloody massive...
Like... so massive you will need to build this outside of your house... maybe in an aircraft hangar...

If you're short of space to put it in you could do it in the desert, the paint will dry quicker too..

3.few hundred upto maybe a few thousand dollars?
4. 2-4 years is possible
5. as long as it is on a battle place.
