As the title suggests i am curious on which army you guys would choose and please give your reasons. Also the only restriction i have is for circle the only two casters i would switch between are ekaya or mohsar

and for skorne the only restriction i have is that the only two or three casters i would use are emakeda, (fat man)Dominar Rasheth, or epic lord assassin morg
and for circle i would mainly run beast or construct heavy probably but for both circle and skorne i like the bulk of the models so other than caster restriction i do not have any restriction on models i would not use from either army

I went with skorne main reason being that I love the models. It was a nice bonus that the skorne play completely different to my other faction, being a melee centric army with some synergy pieces. When I saw Titan Gladiator for the first time I knew that I have to paint that figure.

I'm mainly a Circle player. I just like the aethetics and I like the "alpha strike" playstyle that ekaya and Kromac provides

Hey, I just met you,
and this is crazy,
but I'm a demon,
possess you, maybe?

@bakerofish when you say alpha strike playstyle what do you mean by that. which caster do you use

@metsuri is there any other reason you would suggest skorne and have you used any of the casters that i will be using

alpha striking means comitting everything you have in one turn. It's basically one big push that if successful cripples your opponent or nets you a win. The badside here is if your alphastrike doesnt work, you usually lose

and i use ekaya and kromac beast heavy

I play Skorne, i started them because of the Immortals, Titans, and the back banners (honestly thats what did it for me).

I play Fatty, and he's alot of fun. I actually run his Tier army which has worked for me so far.

Fatty sits back on his tortured baby elephants and lets his army do the work. He can cast a spell through a friendly warrior model a turn usually killing it (use Nihilators because they are tough). You then take some Paingiver Beast Handlers to make sure your titans (I use a Bronzeback, Gladiator and Cannoneer at 35) better. He also has access to minions units in his tier so adding a Gatorman Posse isn't a bad option. I always try to take the smoke bellows crew (1 point minion unit) to help protect Fatty.

I picked Circle for asthetics first. I tend to have a weird human-bias in fantasy RPGs in general, also liked the Warpwolf, the heavy magic use, cannibals, and the Illuminati/Cthulhu Cult vibe that the fluff has for them.

As for how warlocks play:

eKaya plays fairly warbeast heavy. All her spells and abilities support her warbeasts, and she gives nothing to infantry. She lets warbeasts run very effeciently with free charges and easily deliverable damage buffs via Laris and a Wilder. She also keeps her warbeasts fairly safe with battlegroup-wide Stealth, a DEF buff, and her feat allowing your army to completely reposition, as well as do two alpha-strikes. She usually wins with assassinating beasts or stabbing things to death herself with Flank. She also has a fairly good amount of survivability herself due to Unyielding and Laris.

Kromac is a toolbox caster. He supports a pretty good battlegroup with Warpath, making his beasts really fast. He makes a single warbeast a super-efficient wrecking ball due to Wild Aggression. He buffs units okay with Inviolable Resolve. And he has some pretty hard control and denial with Bestial, Rift, and his threat of assassination. He picks opponent stuff apart, alpha-strikes, repositions, and denies a lot. He doesn't have any particular scenario things other then being very effective at helping his army kill what's on points and keeping it alive to do it, as well as messing with opponent spellcaster's ability to operate.

And stuff.

I have decided to go with skorne in the end
@casper can you give me a sample 35pt list you use with fatty

Rosheth *5
*Bronzeback 9
*Gladiator 7
*Cannoneer/Sentry 8 (same points cost, I usually take the cannonner for some ranged shots)
Max Paingiver Beast Handlers 3
Max Nihilators 8
Baslisk Krea 4
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew 1

This is a T1 list so Titans go down by 1 Point (simply amazing).

There are a variety of ways to make the list 50 points and still remain in Tier.

It is not. Its a decent light beast. I use one with Hexeris but thats it. The reason to stay in his tier is to make your titans cheaper. If you don't plan on using Titans then well his tier isn't useful.

I don't have a Skorne book so I can't be sure but... Can you have a tier list with the gobbers in it? They are minions and usually taking minions takes you off list.

Under units, it says "minion units that will work for Skorne" so you can have units but not solos. The smoke team is a unit.

That explains it. Like I said I don't own the Skorne book. Are there any other Warlocks that can take minions in there?

A few can get solos, nobody else can get Minions/Mercs iunits n their Tier lists but here are the solos.

pMakeda - Saxon Orik
eMakeda - Orin Midwinter
Mordikaar - Feralgeists

@casper would you be able to tell me just the tier benefits for fatty, emakeda, and Lord Assassin Morghoul

emakeda
T1 - P. Ferox become FA2
T2 - Free UA for P. Swords (does not count against FA restrictions)
T3 - Place Tyrant Rhadeim and P. Ferox units at the same time as AD (but in your deployment zone)
T4 - Heavy Warbests in Makedas Battlegroup +2 spead turn 1

Overall a lackluster tier, your only heavy available is MK, and you can only take cyclopes, unit selection is limited the Pretorians

eMorghoul
T1 - PG Bloodrunners become FA U, +1 on starting roll for the game
T2 - PG Bloodrunner Master Tormentor solo for free (not FA restricted)
T3 - Models in army gain stealth for first turn of game
T4 - for each PG Bloodrunner Master Tormentor solo in army one warbest gains AD

Like eMakada's tier, its very limiting and the benefits are not all that great.

Rosheth
T1 - Titans -1 point, FA Agonizers +1 per Titan
T2 - One minion unit +2 SPD during first turn per PGTM solo
T3 - Agonizers start with 3 fury
T4 - +2 inches to Deployment zone

This is the best tier in Skorne have access to (Zaal is a close second) You only need to get to T1 to really reap the benefits. T2 is nice if you plan on taking GMP or something else, T3 and above is not worth it as you really don't need that many agonizers.
