Ok, so this is it;

Deamon Prince, mark of nurgle, warptime (maybe wings?)

Plague Marines x7, 2 plasma guns, plague champion with power fist (or power weapon)

Plague Marines x7, 2 melta guns, plague champion with power fist (or power weapon)

2x Chaos rhino, havoc missile launcher

Obliterator cult x2

Obliterator cult x2

This is my 2nd WH40k army, so please tell me what you think.

I like wings, they work well when counter-acting enemy manouvres, your opponent thinks his/her Rhino carrying a squad of tactical marines is safe from your daemon prince, when suddenly its in the Rhinos face.

I'd be tempted to go for power weapons over power fists personally. I know Plague marines have a relatively low iniciative anyway but using power swords instead saves points that can be spent on wings for the Daemon prince, and as your Plague marines are probably going to be sitting on objectives anyway power fists aren't going to get used enough to be worth their points, but a power weapon of some sorts is always useful.

Definitely need wings. A DP without wings will most likely not be able to catch the enemy or even draw that much fire, both things you want him to accomplish lol. So wings are a MUST. You probably could do without those havok missle launchers. I never run my Rhinos with them. cuz the Rhino will get popped pretty quickly in the game. so just run your Rhinos naked. Obliterators are always good, just dont get them stuck in assualt, their ok with their PFs, but having them do anything other than raining down serious firepower is a waste. so make sure you deepstrike them in a good place. and always make sure to deep strike them never foot slog them lol slow and purposful is brutal for footslogging lolol.

Thanks for the advice. The problem I have with wings, is that It would be quite a undertaking to convert the Nurgle DP, so he has some kind of wings. And as for obliterators, Is putting them in cover somewhere (building maybe), and using them as long range gun platforms an option? Or is it better to get them a little involved in the fight?

On the subject of the Obliterators I think it depends on the army that you are fighting, If you are fighting an army like orks sitting back away from the rush of troops would seem a good idea, whereas If you are fighting a gunline the obliterators are going to be shot at anyway. Utilising cover may protect them from this a bit, as it would at least give you a save if you are shot at by AP2 weaponary, but as these are rare and are most likely to be used to bust open your Rhinos it would probably be better to get a bit closer to your enemy to utilisie some of the lower ranged weaponary that Obliterators can use.

Have you managed to assemble your daemon prince yet? If not, you could always use some of the wings from the new scourges kit, If not, maybe try a Ringwraiths fell beast from LOTR or something. If you've already assembled it or you don't want to buy a seperate kit for just some wings, then I don't think it'll matter so long as WYSIWYG is not involved too heavily in the games that you play.

my only real complaint about the list is that being deathguard they dont really use oblitz, but thats just a fluff thing for me.
on another note DP will need wings, i would actually take out the warp time though he is a pretty beastly guy at T6, i keep Pfists on all my plague squads since most low point lists are fielding at least one walker adn a power weapon is useless against walkers. pfists on the other hand make em cry. i would actually opt for a vindicator instead of the oblitz. but once again thats me being fluffy.

Army:
Havenican sector:
Amory IV legion 2750 points (100% painted)

Sons of Plague 2600 (95% painted)

I'd take two squads of Havocs with ML and AC over oblits... oblits are too expensive for their actual use!

I know the obliterators and rhinos are against the fluff, however I always thought the obliterator model looks like he would fit perfectly into death guard (all the exposed flesh, the mutations, and overall gruesomeness). I would also paint them in death guard armor ( and make them fit in even more). Another thing is that I just really dont like tanks... Some thing inside me just rejects anything except a land raider (weird, I know).

The players at my local gaming club are very forgiving of various proxies, unpainted models etc. So I dont think that would be a problem, however I might expand this army a bit, and I would like to try it at some tournaments, and I just dont know how would people react to a DP with wings, but no modification to show that. Is that prohibited in tournaments? I always thought the Nurgle DP, (well since he is a Nurgle DP) would move around on some cloud of flies or something, and those would be his "wings".

Cloud of flies actually sounds really cool, not really sure how you'd represent it though, so I'm pretty certain that you'd get away with it at most places. I don't really attend many tournaments, but you could look at the official tournament FAQs and check there.
