Heya Guys I have just started a project doubed Project Prehersey where I collect mk 1- 5 armor in exceedingly high amounts, this includes remodelling current models I have and quite recently I redid my entire 10th company.
This Includes my Storm Crusaders and my Wanderers and quite recently my Custodes.
Also my brother's space wolves have also joined, I've told him we are doing a prehersey armor forces.
Though I am actually not that good with painting and plasticard.
But I am very good at building stuff. such as the much famous Vulkan Conversion I did a while back.

And the shrike conversion.

Both these models have been lovingly restored and added with bitz to ensure that they look like the real deal.
As you can see this model has taken not one but three different builds. As I got bored with his postioning, He is nolonger keltizfiel but an honor guard and by far the worst of the bunch.

Then into this guy.

And i was still not happy at all with this model. So, i took up another model and built keltizifiel a new body and looked through my bits box and found myself an awesome helmet and i started custom making the shoulder pads from drop pod kits and vechile kits (using the eagles) and bending them to fit onto shoulder pads. though his right bolter arm keeps falling off, and i have run out of pins! CURSES! Thwarted by another kit!
Then Gavreel who started out in life as little more than a chaos marine (don't have the pictures.)
Then he became an assualt marine.
then he became a sternguard veteran with a badly constructed melta bolter.

now he is a badass.

Needless to say I will be posting my projects onto dakkadakka now
This is mostly a models thread, as i have 450 marines in total all waiting to be rebuilt or upgraded from crappy mode to badass.

Cool. Also, if you don't mind me asking: for you Custodians, are you 'Truescaling' them or using base models? And what GK units are you using to represent them in game?

I'm using Grey Knights as model base. And I helped make a few stats for the custodes. I will not have their helmets until I have enough money, as I am tight on funds.

Fair 'nuff. I only ask because me and some friends are soon going to be doing a Heresy-era campaign, and my Night Lords need something big and shiny to rip through . But I digress.

The Vulkan conversion looks pretty good, but the helmet is a bit odd. Picture is bad though, hard to see detail. Also, vulkan does not have a powerfist? So that is kind of weird that you gave him one.

The shrike conversion I do not like. The head looks awkward, both in the helmet selected, and the positioning on the body. It looks far too high up, and it not in scale with the metal body. Additionally, the pose is not very dynamic, the robed body definitely does not fit the pose of the lightning claws, which is a bit stiff itself.

I don't know what you mean restored with bitz to look like the real deal, because they definitely don't. Aren't they counts-as for different chapters?

The third model's pose is a bit awkward. Aren't there enough metal models with that type of pose out there?

Fourth model is okay but again, why the weird head? Loyalist marines do not use helmets like that.

Also, bear in mind that custodes do not look much like grey knights. It will definitely take some expert conversion to make GK models look like custodes, I can't wait to see how you pull off the thinner legs and more ornamented armor.

Well Considering what I have to work with, I have 0 green putty, and The Custodes will look more like grey knights with bolters on their halberds, though I have been working and looking for alternative models, though Scribor has models for 30.50$ I do not have the money to spend on that, so when i get enough money I shall switch over the models.

Plus Storm Crusaders use a type of base helmet uncommon to most chapters, I call them Crusader Helmets as they look crusadey, plus were talking about a chapter that fights alot and doesn't have time for luxuries.

The Wanderers are angelic and have more dynamic poses and more open/free willed in what they do, Also they have awesome tech like long barreled bolters. And SMG bolter,

But yes my Shrike Conversion is awkward in that i used the Azrael model i had to take a file a literally spend an hour getting off the stupid head. Then I cut off the arm and left the right should on. So basically the helmet didn't fit at all, so i had to start cutting everything, all in all that was my first custom built marine using an already broken model.

The Fourth guy is using a Maximus Mark Power Armor, the guy literally has 6 kits used on him. And he was improved from dumb ====> to awesome.

The custode isn't a custode.

Its a running grey knight.

You need a Custode style helmet for it to bear any resemblance to custodes in the first place.

I like the idea! Custodes are friggin' awesome looking, and I've seen them done with standard SM bodies and HE heads. Those pictures above almost have an impression of DE legs, although, I don't know about the proportions if you were to pair that with the upper bodies of SMs.

I look forward to this one! Keep 'em coming. If anything, we get a bunch of cool conversions!

I am going to replace the helmets when i have the funds

lol
He is just a prototype afterall.

But yes Custodes are majorly badass. And they deserve 50 books after them
