Tower of Power
|
1. If a unit is in assault with a vehicle and the vehicle doesn't drive off in its own turn and then it's the turn of the assaulting unit can they move and reassault the tank or they locked in combat with it?
2. When indirect firing if you can see the target is ballistic skill reduced still?
3. Can a Haemonculus take a scissorhand and combine this with a agoniser to get +2 agoniser attacks?
4. If a squadron is spread out 4" and has a unit behind can a enemy unit assault through the gaps to reach the enemy unit behind or will the squadron stop this as cannot move inbetween models?

1. You are never locked in combat with a non WS vehicle. Now if you assault a tank and fail to kill it, and on his turn he does not drive away, and you still have models touching, then in his assault phase you will attack the tank again. Then if it is still alive on your turn you can move away, and then re-assault if you wanted.
2. Not sure, but normally if you can see the target you are not indirect firing.
3. No they are two special weapons and as such do not give bonus attacks.
4. You can move between models. You just cannot end closer than 1" if you did not assault that unit.

1) the unti would have had a chance to assault the tank in the owners phase as well, as it was still in base contact.
As they are not locked with the (non-ws) vehicle they can move away and then reasault. Ruels clearly spelled out in the assautlign vehicles rules
2) Yes. Clearly stated in the barrage rules
3) No. You only "use" one weapon at a time
4) You cannot move through models, you can move through the gaps BETWEEN models as long as you maintain >1" from them. In assaults you can ignore this 1" requirement, even on units you are not assaulting.

What is the page number for this one? I was sure the 1" exception rule only applied to the unit you assaulted and not all units as long as you assault.

It applies to all units. You just may not have base contact with units you don't assault, but you may move within 1".

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

Going off of mercer's fifth question. Can the owning player intertwine and move units between the gaps left by a squadron?
For example, in a game i played against a guard player a long time ago, he had a squadron of leman russes in a line, each about 4 inches apart. He then had two other chimeras filling the space left by the 4" coherency.
I said he could not do that because, for one, his own models were within one inch of another unit.
Also, he did not have his side sonsons modeled so there would not have been sufficient space anyway.
He also claimed cover saves from side shots with his units like this.
Was his tactic legal?

It would be legal except for the side sponsons shenanigans, not having your models WYSIWYG is one thing, but capitalizing on it is another.
You are perfectly fine moving within 1" of your own models and interlocking units that way.

Perfectly legal. If there is space, the chimeras can move between. The one 1" rule only applies to enemy models and, as stated before, is ignored when a unit assaults.
He also claimed cover saves from side shots with his units like this.
Was his tactic legal?
If 50% of the vehicle is obscured (4+ save) or you can't see the facing you are in, but can see another facing(3+ save).

What I think he means here is, he can see one of the sides of the vehicles, but the others are covered by the Chimeras that are in between, does the guy get the cover save because he cannot see the remaining vehicles due to the chimeras?

Yes, because they are blocked by another unit. Same as normal.
jbunny -youre thinking 4th ed, and the old "unassaultable units" formation that resulted. In 5th edition it specifcally removes the 1" rule for ANY enemy unit
