Karvin hated his Champion Muguna and patiently waited his demise. Watching him bark orders and gesture with his ancient weaponry, Karvin ached to take the power he had been promised.

Their squad had set up position in a ruined Mechanicum tower, the Icon Bearer had already begun to bring the plague into this world for the final time. Once this was done they could leave this dead world.

As Karvin crouched near Muguna he planned how he would kill him... then all hell broke loose. With a sound like bloody entrails splattering on the ruined pavement the hellish daemons of Khorne burst into reality.

A wiry, blood encrusted daemon rode atop a beast of fire and iron... it hissed as it pointed toward Muguna, "Your Skull For Khorne Plague Slave!"

It seems everyone wants Muguna dead today, but only the warrior that escapes with his skull can claim his destiny.

So we played a quick game of Killzone here at home between some Black Legion that are straying down the path of Nurgle and a pack of Khornate Daemons set to even the cosmic score.

Roughly 250 points on each side with 10 Chaos Marines, Champion "Muguna" with Combi and Fist, Icon of Nurgle, Plasmagun, and Heavy Bolter VS. 4 Bloodcrushers and 5 Bloodletters

The Mission was Extraction (from the wonderful mission supplement that the Killzone guys made) and the Chaos Champion was the High Value Target.

To win he needs to die and then be escorted off the board by one of the teams.

The small arms fire of the Black Legion quickly sent the Bloodletters back to the Warp but not before their initial assault killed Muguna and gave both the greedy Chaos Marine and the Bloodcrusher Champion their opportunity to take his skull. The Black Legion reserves arrived but the bolters could not slow the advance of the Bloodcrushers. Even under the constant pounding of the last survivor of the squads Heavy Bolter in the tower the Daemons of Khorne escape with their prize.
