I'm in the final stages of my scratchbuilt baneblade and naturally begins to think "what more can i do with it?" besides large amount of kit the obvious answer is some sort of front attachment, either cutter or blade (i have looked at other designs to, but i find neither mine rollers or flails interesting)

the cutter would be made from the 4 pronged tank trap from the Barricades spruce and the dozer blade would be a much bigger copy of the dozerblade from the new guard vehicle accessory spruce

My army is themed on urban/ash-waste war and is painted in codex grey, chaos black and shadow grey.

what do people think?

(if you dont know what a cutter is follow this link http://www.robertsarmory.com/hedge.htm)

I gotta say cutter, it just makes the tank look meaner.

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

I'd kind of lean toward cutter too. A dozer blade might make more logical sense, but a baneblade-scale dozer blade seems likely to look kind of silly, and to obscure the menace of the tank itself.

On one hand, I'd say the cutter would indeed look good (historically, they were also used to knock down walls in addition to busting through bocage, which was basically old stone wals overgrown with thick, dense shrubs). But with the ash wastes bit, bulldozer blade all the way. You could even use something like the DML/Dragon kit of the track width mine plow. Either way, if done right, it will look most excellent. Look at historical examples for inspiration, bulldozers and bulldozer attachments have seen combat use in just about every major armed conflict (and a whole lot of smaller urban ones) from WW1 and on.

I vote for tentacles too. Or dozer blade. Either way, I'm looking forward to see the result

My vote is for a dozer blade, but in a wedge like the cutter. Looks mean.

Do you mean a solid cow-catcher, like this?

With a nick like 'mad max' you even need to ask?

Get some cyclone fence wrapped in razorwire mounted on the front of your BB.  Then weld on some steel posts that you have some bairly alive troopers from one of your opponants armies tied to.

Whatever you do (like there is any choice after reading my excellent post) please put some pics up.

Thanks to the inputs both here and on warseer i have decided on the following, no attachment on Baneblade, massive dozerblade on Stormsword(together with recovery equipment for a combined AEV-ARV)

Thanks to everyone for the input!
