Hi,

A situation appeared in a game that i'm not sure about. its to do with multiple combats involving IC's. I find the whole thing confusing tbh but i will explain the situation.

I had a squad of grey hunters and they were asuulted by 5 assult marines and dante.

The five assult marines could get into b2b with the grey hunters but dante could not.

He could get into b2b with the assult behind them or he could just stay in coherency allong side them. This is what he did.

I made pile in move a brought one of my models into base contact with him, But what i'm wondering is, do I have to pile into him> could i just pile into the assult marines and deny him the assult?

also if he had of move in behind the assult marines would this also have denied him the chance to hit? and finaly should he have moved there any way being as th was the closest place to go?

I hope I have made sense.

Any help with this will be apprecaited cheers.

WHen making Pile In moves you MUSt attempt to get into btb with an unengaged enemy model from the unit(s) that assaulted you.

So yes, if you could get into base with Dante you should have been in base with Dante. remember he ISNT a separate unit until you resolve Attacks
