Its basically Making Space Marine scale size compared to guardsmen Eldar Etc. s the SM ae supposed to be 8 foot tall giants and models wise they are the same size as guardsmen, so they dont look as cool, True scaling is just making them larger.

Just because I don't care, Doesn't mean I don't understand!

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

They are all scratch-built by various hobbyists for their personal armies. I suppose there are those who may take jobs converting them for others, but I don't know for certain. Do a search in the Dakka Article and forums for True scale. You'll find many examples and tutorials. You can also search the gallery and see many WIP pics for visual aid.

There was also talk of Chapterhouse making a true scale kit, but no word of it on their site.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Until then, it's all based on personal modelling capabilities. I've done a little on some CSM minis, and while CSM minis are of roughly equal height to guardsmen (as far as their head and shoulder height), you can do things to pump them up a bit:

Be careful with how much you do, though. Remember that you're probably going to have to do a lot of minis, and so if whatever you're doing is too time intensive or difficult, you're probably going to burn out before you finish your army. Plus, I've seen people do so much truescaling that their marines start pushing twice the height of a guardsmen, which not only looks ridiculous, but isn't even accurate to the fluff.

That looks more like it.

Assuming the IG is over six feet, the SM must be near 10.

I've read that nine is about average for loyalist SMs because they have shrunk since the revolution.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
