In the rules for grav chute insertion in the valkyrie entry, it states that if the vehicle moves flat out troops can still be deployed but if they scatter they must take a dangerous terrain test.

The rules then go on to say that if any models cannot be deployed, the entire unit is destroyed.

Am I to understand that this means if you fail a single dangerous terrain test for any model in the unit, the entire unit is destroyed? Or does it only apply if models cannot be deployed for other reasons (enemy proximity etc.)

Thanks

Dave

failing a dangerous terrain test doesn't mean that the model can't be deployed, just that he did deploy and died doing it. the only time it would kill the whole unit is if they were too close to another model or in impassable terrain.

Essentially - if you would mishap, you are dead.

Ah ok. That makes more sense.
The way I read it, if you tried to deploy in this way you were pretty much making the squad commit suicide, rendering it as one of the most pointless rules ever.

Now that I know this, it seems like more of a viable tactic rather than the death warrant I previously interpreted it as.

Thanks guys
