A few weeks ago old I could hear old people at my work talking about the Sony hack. These are people I know don't play video games, so you know its bad. Nontheless I'm not sure I would consider it permanent damage because it more of those "those darn evil hackers" kind of attitude. But a second time!? It's that whole "Trick me once shame on you. Trick me twice.....we'll they ain't gonna trick us again" thing.

I feel sorry for those that Sony or whoever provides their security have let down of course but i still find it mildly amusing...

I wasn't being sarcastic about the "happy stealing" message, they've actually done it, and published the data on as many websites as they can.

I didn't say it wasn't bad but i dislike Sony for my own reasons... though... this is their user base being punished more than Sony so maybe it is worse than i thought...

*Sigh* not again. Even though Sony is partially at fault here for having the security hole, this is clearly an epeen stroking exercise for the hackers in question. Stuff like this punishes the user base more than it does the company in question. Then again, the hackers probably don’t care as they probably don’t own any consoles (they play COD all day

).

I've lent mine out but was thinking about getting it back as I saw the Capcom Classics compilation in a shop and was like, yeaaaahh!

I have also been thinking about getting an xbox. I've been pretty much a Playstation fan for a long time but I am starting to lose faith in them a bit. The PS3, as great a console as it is, has been a bit of a let down.

On a side note - Have Sony released their apology package yet?

I wonder how many other companies store information in this same manner. I wouldn't be surprised if my google e-mail didn't do the same thing. Sounds like a wakeup call for anyone storing data. Sony couldn't possibly be the only one with this kind of security risk.

This is sad. It just makes me want to sell my gak and go back to reading books.

Nuff said. This is exactly how I feel about all this hacker BS, and about hackers in general. I mean, if they were hacking into a dictatorship's files to show its people the extent of their illusion, then I don't know, maybe things would be different. But Sony pictures?

I beg to differ. I don't hate Sony, I'm sure others don't hate Sony. The people in high positions working for sony probably don't hate sony.

Therefore, it is incorrect to say that EVERYONE hates Sony, because this is evidently false. Perhaps it would be better to say that many people dislike Sony, or have mild negative feelings towards them.

It would also be more adequate to say that most people hate hackers more than sony.
