The Commissars of the I.G. I was told that they are suppose the be the baddest arsed of all a human being could be. Like how if they get their legs or spin ran over by a tank like how Yarrik did they spend like 50 years in a regeneration vat regrowing their spin and body just to be thrown back on the battlefield. I mean Yarrik had fought against Ghazskull mono e mono three times.
Had his arm torn off and replaced it with freaken Ork tech which is ONLY suppose to work in Ork Hands. Legs ran over by a tank. Shot down and even one account that when he lost his arm he picked it up and beat an Ork to death over the head with it.
I never heard of a space marine doing something like that and I wonder. Just HOW bad asrsed are these guys anyway?

The majority of their more exotic equipment does not work in human hands. Things like the Shokk Attack Gun, the Kustom Force Fields, heck even some of their vehicles.
The example of Yarrick's power claw however to illustrate the point is a bad one. He had it surgically grafted on by the Mechanicus and the best doctors he could get. I'm sure between the two of those, they could make a jury rigged system if it were to not work.

That's because Space Marines don't dirty their hands with such mundane matters.

not all commissars are quite as badass as Yarrack, but they are a pretty badass group.
It takes abit of guts to shoot guys running away from a battlefield who are also armed, sometimes with heavier weapons then you(don't piss off the guy with the plasma gun)

I like the IG too but I'm pretty sure the space marines do things like that all the time. Maybe not the part about having powerclaws replace arms but then I don't think that's because they arent "hardcore enough", I think it's more because Yarrick is a little off his rocker.

marines certaintly do alot of cool things, but they are super humans.
they are supposed to do awsome things. its kinda the norm.
for unaugmented humans to be so badass takes some serious adamentium balls.

Calgar killed Eldar Avatar with how own bare hands.
Draigo is killing Daemon IN the warp.
And many other examples: like one marine holding the pass against tyranids for 19 hours without even taking a sweat, or 2 marines kill great number of enemies in just few seconds, or breaking trough the enemy line in several seconds, or destroying a Gergant with some bikes and few krak grenades...

There's no question about it, Commissars are the most awe-inspiring regular human that the Guard can summon, besides their heroes like Creed.
However, when compared to the likes of Space Marine sergeants or Captains, who tend to equal or better Commissars without too much effort, the Commissars are paled.
That's not to say they aren't still awesome

I would say most commissars, like most Schola Progenium graduates that go on to combat positions, are equal or better to Marines in skill depending on the individual in question, but as humans, inferior in biology.
I say this, because Lord Commissars (Yarrick being an example, what with his statline being almost identical) are actually better than the average Astartes in many ways, while a normal commissar could match one in a duel, until/unless the Astartes' strengthy overwhelmed him.
For that matter, Cain was able to duel Astartes with insane ease, as if they were playthings.

A Duel is different from a battle though. Sure, he may be good with his sword-play, but fancy fencing means little in 40k, where guns and armour are the real tools, and ridiculous chain swords of course.

Commissars fence with chainswords or power swords. The latter of which ignores power armor anyway. In 40k, one on one skill DOES matter. Kill one enemy, move on to the next, kill them, move on to the next, and so on. Actually the Guard would have this easier than the Marines, as the commissar would have the various guardsmen around him engaging the other threats.

Fair point, but it's not as simple as one enemy after the other. In battles with a huge number of very powerful foes with likely better technology on undulating and rubble strewn terrain, the chances of of fighting one blade wielding enemy after the other in a neat line isn't likely to happen that often at all. Sure, one on one, his fancy fencing will be handy, but it's not as if a Commissar will have a lot of opportunity to use his skills. Still, Commissars I agree, are probably the most skilled individual humans in The Imperium.

The likelihood of fighting a single Marine, nevermind a group, is astronomically low. Worlds go many generations without a Marine even entering their system, nevermind landing on their planet. Marines are to most people a myth, and even though commissars know better, most commissars will never, EVER see a Marine outside of holovids or statues.

The fact that Commissars are just regular humans boosts the coolness factor up quite a bit though.
