How is the imperium so good if all they do is kill anything other than humanity, take over and obliterate entire planets, in my books thats a bad thing to do

fair enough true but they even try to take over worlds that pose no threat to them for xample a planet owned by the tau or eldar who has no intention of attacking

Just a few things to get straight here:

1. Aliens first attack us and get us to the edge of extinction ( time before the Fall of the Eldar ).
2. They obliterate planets if citizens have been infected by deadly virus or warp mutations ( there is no cure for that and the result is quite disturbing ).
3. Every other power in the universe want's our annihilation or submission.
4. They are the good guys because they fight the evil guys, and sometime s even team up with other races to defeat forces of disorder. And as much as other races hate to admit - Imperium saved their ass countless times. And the galaxy is still in our universe due to the Mankind sacrifice.

Resime: there are no "good" guys in Warhammer 40000, there is more on the gamble than nations and states - entire races. And sometimes the choses they have to made to enable the continued survival of Human race is not that light ( like exterminatus on the planet, or purging the entire world population due to Chaos influence or 3'rd party ).

Please, Imperium conquering Tau and Eldar worlds?

1. Tau are aggressors here, they attacked the last several times and take control of 1 Imperial world ( Taros ). They tried to conquer other but they where pushed back. And I don't remember what was the last time Imperium invaded Tau world inside their empire...

2. Only Eldar worlds in existence are Exodite worlds, and no Human was ever on one. I never heard about Imperium conquering Eldar Craftworld. They even contact the Eldar to give them back their Craftworld after they liberated it from Chaos.

It's good to kill anything other than humanity, said things are usually trying very hard to kill as many humans as they can.
Taking over planets is good, it gives the Imperium more resources and space for people to live.
Obliterating them only happens as a last resort, and usually has a beneficial effect for the Imperium. Contrary to popular belief, it happens very rarely, and the Imperium doesn't want to.
There is also many more millions of planets in the galaxy than just the ones humans inhabit.

The Tau are just another xenos race with their own selfish motivations. The Tau have tried and do try to take Imperial worlds. Mosre often than not, the Imperium tries to take those worlds back, because they're valuable.
Exodite worlds are fertile and rich with resources, and are usually defended by by only a few thousand Exodites. When every race is vying for planets and resources, morality doesn't come into it.

The imperium slay chaos because they a traitors. They slay orks because they invade all worlds they can find. Dark eldar raider the imperium. Necrons only take one planet that they lie dorment on. Tyranids are the biggest threat so they have to be killed. But eldar and tau are peacful races why fight them some chapters fight with eldar and tau.

The Eldar and the Tau are most definitely not peaceful races.

Indeed. Tau are the new age christians converting the pagans but with a join us or die policy.
As for eldar, one only has to read the Biel-tan craftworld entry to see the extent of their peacefulness.
Remember it's a grimdark universe. There are no 'good guys' only some are marginally better than others

They aren't good thats the whole point, no one in the 40K universe is really good.

There are no good guys and no bad guys because everyone sees the universe from their own perspective.

Honestly i would have to put necrons as neutral. How mad would you be if you woke up and someone had crapped on your empire and was squatting on your planets.... The idea of no good or evil is the more reasonable perspective. Everyone can come up with a million arguements for their favored race and why they are the way they are. Every race has some stake in the galaxy and will do whatever it takes to see their end game through....

Yea but when you take into perspective that the Ctan pretty much killed the entire galaxy and went to sleep only because they wanted to let life repopulate so they could do it all again, that in my minds eye says pretty darn evil by anybodies standards

Yeah, but back them you didn't have the Emperor, Chaos Gods, Orks weren't so numerous...

I dont think just because there are more numerous factions now doesnt mean that the Ctan are any less evil, even with their beauty sleep

True, the C'tan don't need to harvest the souls of the entire Galaxy, they did because souls tasted better than stars. Pretty evil to me.

Not really, if they managed to crush the Old Ones, the Emperor who just sits there all day won't do much, humanity has already proven that they're fairly noneffective against the Necrons, Space Marines are far too few, as are the Eldar, and the Orks aren't unified enough. Chaos has the best chance.

Why I am not surprised to hear that from a Chaos fan?

- Emperor will resurrect.
- Eldar will all sacrifice and create a new god who will consume Slaanesh, then all resurrect.
- Tyranids will attack in much large numbers.
- Orks will almost all unite.

The Old Ones where defeated by Enslavers, not C'Tan. C'Tan went into hibernation because of the Enslavers. With so much forces in the galaxy and so much War effect C'Tan have almost no chance in winning.

Actually, the Old Ones were all but defeated by the C'tan until they started suing the Warp and turning it into a hell hole, the Enslavers then started to use up the remaining food, causing the C'tan to go into hibernation.

Doesn't the current Necron Dex state that the Necrons were totally beating the old ones faces in until they started to consume each other? After which, the Old ones and the newly created rces launched a huge counter attack that the C'tan no longer had the strength to repel (due to there only being four left)? This move then caused them to consider hybernation in a state that the old ones would not be able to get to them, and that's when the enslavers started showing up, as warp ripples or some bizzar thing like that? At this point, they decided it would be best to let the warp entities destroy each other rather than try and fight them?

Pretty sure it's all in there... I might go thumbing through for page numbers in a minute or two.

The Old Ones were nearly destroyed, until they started to sue the Warp as a weapon. Before any conclusion to the War could come, The Enslavers basically destroyed what was left of The C'tans food, so they went into hibernation to wait until The Enslavers were gone and the Galaxy rife with souls again.

Well, they did it before, and now there's no opposition on the same level as The Old Ones. Chaos, being a Warp based power with an unlimited supply of soldiers has the best chance. \
Saying the C'tan could crush any resistance is realism, stating a bunch of separate and very unlikely points is wish-listing.

Aliens such as Eldar and (obviously) Orks and Tyranids attacked the Imperium first, as well as many other alien races that aren't covered as much. This led to the belief that all xenos are against the imperium so should be purged. This was pretty bad for the Tau empire since the Imperium saw a technologically advanced alien race that could pose a threat to the Imperium so attacked first. The point is, almost every xenos race is currently at war with the Imperium, so their feelings aren't really unfounded.
