Please how do you do it? I try to make actual eyes but end up with single color orbs, which while that might work if I was painting tyranids  I was looking for something more human like. Any help is appreciated
|

I am in the same boat. If you're like me and still suck at painting I've found that a suitable option is to paint the flesh ogryn flesh and then wash with like a dallarn flesh wash or whatever it's called. There are no eyes painted but it looks pretty good on the table and will more than hold me over until I get better enough to pain white eyes and like a black pupil and maybe a black surrounding shadow or something.

Reaper has/had a great tutorial on their forum under "The Craft" category titled Bette Davis Eyes that is an easy and effective way to paint eyes. Appears my bookmark is broken though, so they may have moved it.

Pro tip: Never use pure white for eyes. Always go off white towards yellow or the flesh tone. It looks better, not so stark and staring. Reserve pure white for dot highlighting (shining) the whole eye.
