Is it just me or is Prospero Burns very slow? I am about 150 pages into it and have had to force myself to get this far. I normally love Dan Abnett's books and finish them in 2-3 days, but this one is taking me forever and I just can't get into it. So far the only things that have happened are:



Does it get any better or does it keep the same pace and style? I have read threads saying how good it is but so far I just can't seem to see it.l

Seriously though, I liked that book a lot.

It gets better, i thought it was a touch slow to get started but then i get into it.
Though for a book titled Prospero Burns there is very little Burning of Prospero...

I'm currently reading through it, about 2/3 of the way now and I enjoy it. The slow beginning was surprising for me, but it really does give you the backstory you need to learn about Hawser in a way that doesn't disrupt the flow as much as doing it all at once would. It can get a little confusing at times, but it's interesting stuff.

I enjoyed Prospero Burns, although I do agree that it flows very slowly. I really liked A Thousand Sons so much more though.

I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read

I didn't like it because it was so slow.

It gets better but the start put me off it, get through it and then pick up Battle of the Fang for a proper Space wolves book
