Subject: Black spots on metal?
|
 |
Lone Wolf Sentinel Pilot
|
Hey,
I hope this is the right topic for it...
Anyway, on to the subject:
Yesterday I picked up my mailorders: A couple of Valhallans and a commissar.
Upon inspecting them I noticed several black spots on the commissar.
I asked the shop owner what it was and he didn't know it.
So does any fellow dakkanaut know what it is?
Thanks,
Loner

I looks like mold.
Maybe some moisture got inside the blister or something? Have you tried scraping it off?

I tried washing it off, but that didn't work. I took this pictures after I washed the commissar.
The shopowner thought it was burned metal or something.

If there's no texture to it (just a spot on the metal) it probably won't matter once you base coat it.

Probably flaws in the metal, sometimes it turns black.

It more than likely is burns, etc. The metal is a mix of stuff, and it could be some flaws/garbage/junk in the metal mix. All things considered, it should not impact your model.
