Hi all,
This thread is to see just how many people are willing to join the next game of Mafia. I'm probably going to kick off in about a week or when we hit enough players. The number I'm looking for for this game will be 18 which seeJbms to be a fairly well rounded number for mafia games. Any entries after 18 will be counted as reserves, which actually seem to get placed into a game rather frequently.

people- i know,civilians,or mince meat to mafia

mafia- killers,team up to kill one person every night.

vig- ???

SK- ???

mason- ???

sheriff- gets to ask if one person is the mafia each night.

bodyguard- can save the sheriff?

medium- can ask dead people for hints?

Masons can PM each other and know they are not scum

Medium:will recieve hint PM everytime someone dies.

Interesting concept, I would like to join.

However, I'd like to know what happens in your game in case of a tied vote during the day? Most GMs I have played with say that nobody dies, but I've just played in one where it was randomly decided who will die, and that caused some confusion.

@Zoat - you've got an uphill battle with your current goal. The reason we run mostly Minis (12-13 players) is because that's the size the local player availability supports. Usually the regulars fill it up and we get 1-4 "free" spaces for newer players who want to try.

Your game is counting on regulars + 8, which is a gutsy move.

I will note that as an alternative to random choice (which I am not the biggest fan of) tied votes can also be decided as the person who got to the current tied level of votes first is the one lynched. It allows more manipulation and requires more direct choice in the game, removes randomness, and also still obligates a lynch choice each and every phase which is the whole point of the random wheel thing.
