Anyone else found a lot of bubbles in their finecast mini's? I've just started painting my first one and keep finding them in all the creases. Bit annoying really, is the only solution going to be smoothing greenstuff all round it before painting or has any experienced resin modellers got a better solution?
As finecast doesn't like sanding, using milliput is probably a better bet. A wet brush can then be used to smooth the putty out much more easily than sanding it flush.

There are probably dozens of threads complaining about Finecast simply not even coming close to the quality suggested by its own name. I'd suggest taking a look at the News and Rumors finecast thread (the one that is dozens of pages long). You are certainly not alone in experiencing this problem or even worse (like big bubbles stopping whole sections from being cast like stormbolters and heads).
Yeah I usually use silver grey miliput I just say green stuff coz everyone knows the name ha ha. I think that may be the only way. Just takes the speed out of prepping your model a bit doesnt it. Cheers for taking the time to offer advice. Don't you feel a bit let down by GW?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Super glue? Does that work? Do you need to file it down after it's gone off?

From what i've seen a small drop into the bubble/crease and it should be right to go, apply thin like paint and you shouldnt need to file or anything else... apparently.
